Numpties,

Lost to Ash 4-1 in County cup, Had 1-0 lead at half time which was against the run of play as we had held strong defensively, and battled well as a team, Ash Should have been 2 up by this point but had wasted their chances.

Ash had one what looked a good goal disallowed (not quite sure Y) before equalising, some saying i did not cross the line (could not say from where I was) and took the lead soon after as our second half performance did not match the first,we had a couple of chances but Ash were gaining control of the game and the 3rd came when the ball disceived the keeper and left him in no mans land and the fourth was right on full time with strong claims for off side.

Still encouraging first half performance and up until the 60 min mark and may be a little flattering score line for Ash.

My highlite was 3 mins in when i wafted a lovely pasty towards the lino. Say no more.

Morning Teffs. Your Bookham team battled very hard and if they can keep that up for the rest of the season i can see them beating the drop.

The disallowed goal was for a handball. Supposedly our forward scooped the ball up which was a load of rubbish. We had that ref at Egham and last season at Horley and he doesnt like us and we dont get on at all well. There was a big arguement before the match with the referee which obv didnt help. He rang the bell twice before kick off and we didnt come out as we were still having our pre match team talk. He then banged his fist on the door 5 or 6 times which enraged our dressing room and an arguement followed. Not a good start. It showed with some ludicrous decisions early on from the man in the middle.

A good match on a very cold night. Tooting and Mitcham away for us next.

I know our manager was not too happy with the ringing of the bell before the start too !!! those Kents in black. If it was hand ball did not see it from half way line, i guessed it was off side not given by the lino

Thanks for that JJ, we've been playin and battling like that for the last few games so we hope too keep it going and keep us up !!

Thought ash played some good footie last night, we gave it away too easily in second half and stopped pressuring the ball.

Think JJ was no 7 last nite, played well with some good runs

Good luck in the next round.

Yes. The referee had no right to bang on our door in the way that he did. A simple knock on the door would have done or politely opening the door to ask us to come out.

We knew from that point we were in for a tough night. He is actually a decent ref that makes good decisions when he has no prejudices. Handles the game well and takes no back chat. He just needs to get rid of this chip on his shoulder.

Generally thought he had a good game, explained his descisions which defuses the issue straight away, i like to see that in the Kents in the middle, not like the lino second half would not even say how long was left we a long break in play, what a w**ker. Not like the one in the first half who clearly like the pasties

Result from the Kent League last night:-

Deal Town 4 Whitstable 5 (2-2 after 84 mins!)

Thats puts Whitstable 7 points clear at the top, and 11 points clear of us in 3rd place, with 14 games left. I think we definitely have another season of Kent League football ahead of us, barring FA summer re-shuffles.

The other reason I mention this result .... when the 2 clubs met in the league earlier this season, the result was .....

Whitstable 5 Deal 4 !!!!

And when the 2 clubs met in the Kent Senior Trophy 1st Round earlier this season, the result was ..... you guessed it ....

Whitstable 5 Deal 4 !!!!

What are the chances of that!! shocked
