The Conference Table looks very interesting tonight with a definite split between the top 12 and bottom 12 ( 6 point gap between 12th and 13th ). There is only 3 points difference between us in 21st place and FGR in 13th.

 

With 6 of our next 8 games against teams in the bottom half of the table ( plus Morecambe home and away ) we can seriously influence our own destiny over the next 6 weeks.

Jeeeeeeez. That was mental. Deserved it, simple as that.

 

Every City player worked for each other and when it was backs against the wall we stood firm for the most part.

 

I can safely say a few things:

 

-Hakim completely changed the game and his passion towards the fans when he scored, at corners and at the end shows he is still hungry to play for us.

-Our fans were amazing. Singing non-stop for 90 minutes, I'm not saying we brought the Saints back into the game, but we certainly helped.

-Stevenage fans are boring, dull, and there support is woeful. Shame, because their team deserve better.

-Their stewards are mindless idiots. A couple of our fans got chucked out for pretty much nothing.

I agree with almost everything you say TomDavisPonyTail, apart from the last point.

 

the supporters got chucked out because they ran on the pitch....everyone knows you cant do it, so why do they?

Didn't two fans get chucked out? One for running onto the pitch, which I stand corrected and I guess the punishment was deserved.

 

However another of our fans simply went up to the gate near the Stevenage fans and celebrated and got chucked out. What's wrong with that? He was still in the away end. I thought it was harsh.

That's what stewards do!

 

Their only purpose in life is to spoil a sporting event for those watching it. I've heard those at Rushden and Diamonds are expert at the art. I'd like to bet that Costello won't go the distance when we play them away.

Well I celebrated when each of our goals were scored, Tom, but I don't think that my celebrations, or my earlier behaviour, drew me to the attention of the stewards. I didn't move towards the barrier separating the Boro fans from our people apart from when I bought a rather soapy tasting hot-dog and a cup of coffee before kick-off.

 

If any fan goes on to the pitch, whatever their intentions, then it is highly likely that they will be ejected from the ground. It is definite that, whoever they are, they wont get any sympathy from me or most other Saintsfans. They know the score.

 

When the attention of the police is drawn to a group of fans by the stewards, they will look for likely ring-leaders and they are highly likely to be thrown out, too, simply in an effort to limit the possibility of trouble following.

 

The police are most unlikely to come over to me and say "tell me, young man, are these 'erberts serious touble-makers or are they just a group of good ol' boys 'avin' a larf at someone else's expense and there's no real harm intended?" If the Police did ask me, I would tell 'em, but they wont.

 

Out and don't argue, and, frankly, don't expect very much sympathy on here.
