Crawley Match Thread

How many games does he now miss? Presumably 2? So we'll be without Long and Sacha on Saturday week. I guess it will be Rickett's (if fit) to replace Sacha, and Ledgister (or Keeling, if fit (Liam's just said he may be back for Saturday)) to replace Sacha.

How important could those dropped points be come the end of the season? Its so tight in the top half - only 6 points covering 3rd down to 10th & some of those further down have games in hand, which could make it even tighter (if the sides below us won every game in hand, we'd drop to 7th I think - and from 4th to 11th would be covered by 5 points.Oxford could also drop to 3rd if Burton win their 2 games in hand - who'd have thought they could go 8 games without a win & now be 6 points off the laders, Dagenham?)

I'd definitely have this over the sham of the Premiership though, where money buys success.

I think overall we need to be pleased that the Fleet picked up four points from two games, but I can understand the conceding a late goal makes it harder to take. I still feel, that to finish in the Top 10 this season would be a real achievement for the club, considering the finances we have. Another big game at the weekend and I hope it is on, as I am going to try and get back to Gravesend to see the Stevenage match. Daish has strengthned the squad, and there will be more twists and turns between now and the end of the season.

Dirty buggers.

It wasn't a great challenge, but the decision looked a little harsh to me and a yellow probably would have sufficed.

Indeed. The second yellow was harsh in the sense of what it was finally given for, but it's a little strange that Daish had this to say about the dismissal, when there were two or three incidents prior to this where Sasha perhaps should have got his second booking but didn't.

It was a shame we let the lead slip - the ten minutes or so after we scored, during which we barely entered Crawley's half, played a key role in letting them back into the game. Late equalizers will always be painful, but on the plus side it was great to see a fine goal from Charlie and a promising debut from Ledgister, whose willingness to hug the touchline could give us a useful added dimension going forward.
