Yes, it was a fine return to form against a limited (but spirited) Holmer Green, who weren't helped by the severe traffic problems on the A40. At the scheduled KO time of 7.30 they only had 8 players, so it was delayed till 7.50 were they managed to have 11 starters with more turning up during the first half. To be honest we missed more chances than we scored, but fair play to Holmer they never gave up and continued trying to play. The Sway scored a simple hat trick of tap ins as the Holmer keeper saved a number of long range rasping efforts only to see the rebounds fall straight to Mickys feet. Terry Gibbs scored a couple of absolute crackers as well.

Didn't you score 6 immediately after we beat you 6-2, a well? Quick learners, but not retentive in the memory stakes?

Almost we beat Royston 6-1 the saturday after, but lost 1-0 at home to the Smugs in the PDC inbetween, to one of those last minute penalties that seem to be given by refs when they don't want extra time.

I suppose with Haringey Borough winning 4-1 at Holmer Green on Saturday the writing was on the wall and the only surprise was that you didn't win by far more.

yes Rhodes, we did it AWAY from home (a concept you will have to get used to having no HOME ground) and also holmer green had all their players and substitutes. so there is no real comparison between the two games. Rhodes i hear you are thinking of changing your club nickname to the gypsy's of division 1 football is there any truth in this?

I'm actually glad that Haringey lost to Holmer Green in the CT as I think they would have proved tricky opponents. Holmer gave it a go but having only 3 players at the ground fifteen minutes before the scheduled kick off is not the best preparation.

Lato, i must say i miss you on here, you are not as regular as you used to be and your humourous and intelligent posts are missed!

also with your absence Rhodes gets away with alot more then he should!

i wish you well in the cup, just a shame our two clubs never got to meet in the cup would have been a great match.

3praise - I find it disturbing that each and every one of your posts makes reference to me, you seem to have some morbid fascination about me, Bunny Boiler style, and this is possibly something to do with your lord and master who you clearly report back to during your cosy chats over the numerous pints he buys you after away games. Do you happen to know by the way when the hallowed Coles Park turf will be fit for play again, I suppose the snow today was yet another set back and has put the fixture with Broxbourne Borough in doubt for Saturday.

Rhodes Rhodes Rhodes *Sigh* the reason i mention you in EVERY post has something to do with the fact that everytime you write something - even the prediction league - its negative towards haringey and i wouldn't be the supporter i am if i never stood up for the boys. the solution to the problem is thus - stop trying to put haringey down all the time and you might see a reduction in my posts towards you.

3praise - What on earth are you talking about, I'm a Haringey Borough fan through and through so why should I be negative towards them, indeed I bleed yellow and green. It's just the way the Club are run that infuriates me as they should be well on their way to the Conference by now, surely you would like to see them right up there in lights with your Dagenham and Redbridge's and Grays Athletic's fighting it out for a place in the football league itself.

Rhodes, I must be the only person on this forum who has not fallen out with you LOL. Then again, not many people like me either, you should take a look at the southern league forum, the wealdtone fans are having their usual digs at me. Even an Edgware fan said I was a 'disgrace' though he gave no real reason, other then saying I am giving the club a bad name??

I told him to come and see me and tell me exactly what he means.

Some people just dont understand thats is BANTER on a frigging website, its NOT REAL!!!!!!

Gavin - An interesting post and I agree wholeheartedly, I have a lot of time for you on here and hope we can meet up before too long for a few bevies although sadly you have missed your chance to come and watch us play on the hallowed Claremont Road turf. I agree that certain people on this Forum such as Potters Bar Town and Spidermanor take themselves far too seriously, as you rightly say it's only a Forum at the end of the day and just banter, the Haringey Borough Chairman has even e-mailed our Chairman threatening to report me to the SSML and the FA which I'm sure even his 'henchman' 3praise feels is too ridiculous for words although he wouldn't admit it, he's too loyal to his 'lord and master'.
