Not too impressed by the attitude of some of the Hornchurch fans on their web site after their deserved 2-0 victory at our place on Saturday

Forest Gump posted to say that one of their fans was boasting that his tirdade of four letter words directed at our defender helped them score the crucial first goal when the defender and our keeper were more concerned at arguing with their fans than concentrating at the corner, from which, they subsequently scored

FG's point, which I agree with, was that the stream of abuse was over the top but worst of all it occured in the presence of a few children aged about ten who them mimicked the adult and also used some industrial language of their own

Becuase he had the nerve to criticise he was told he was a poor losed, this despite posting a short report on our forum stating that Hornchurch were the better side

Not content with this - when FG podted linked to a series of match photos he had taken at then game - he was told their were crap photos (and that is toning down the language used) and why was there no photos of there forwards in action

I have seen many web sites at other clubs and almost all feature goalmouth action from the opposition penalty area so it is hardly and unusual situation not to feature opposition forwards and he didn't have to post the link - he probably wonders why he bothered

I can remember a time when Hornchurch attracted a friendly bunch of supporters and not the gang of people who seem to think that because they have put together a very good side thanks to bundles of cash they can treat every other club like dirt

It used to be a trait associated with supporters like Aldershot who attitude I also despise

But at least they have a history in the Football league to give their feeling of superiority - hornchurch never managed to get near that so hardly have any reason to take the high and mighty attitude

Personally, I hate hearing kids swear but it is a sign of our times. Once you slide down the moral slippery slope there is no way back. This is not just a football isuue but one for society in general. I suspect the Waltham Forest players in question had heard all the words before which were thrown in their direction so the best course of action would have been to totally ignore everything. Did WF have no stewards on duty?

a goalkeeper 'offering out' our fans in the bar. their own admission that they put the car park prices in place to try to get money out of us, and they're upset we've taken the piss out of their lickle photos?

mugs.

To be fair, at first it was faintly amusing, then it became tiresome, then offensive. Their keeper didn't say a word until half time, when he turned round and said some old nonsense about taking the bloke out if he was in a club. They were right up for the game, their keeper got flattened in a 50/50 and messed up his nose, and he got a load of abuse from one fan and some young kids. It was offensive, but equally it was completely boring and they should have just ignored it.

more from 'tree surgeon'...

''We let local kids in for free at all games and so there was nothing discriminating in that - ''

slight contradiction in terms there.... grin

last time we were in ryman one we had to put up with this green eyed individual giving it plenty about money and arrogant fans etc....

nowt changes does it... frown

A very valid point was made on another thread that happy punters spend money whilst people who have been fleeced before a ball is kicked do not. Had the car park been free then spectators would have probably been more inclined to part with more cash inside the ground. There is a lot of psychology in selling and the direct route of making a fast Buck is not always the most profitable.

well you can be very proud of yourself mr gump.

i'll repeat it on here. you have mugged yourself and your club off. in the unlikely event we are playing in the same division next season, you're guaranteed a zero away turnout.

bravo.
