Results really did go our way, on the whole. Cracking win for the Dons. But watch out for Hampton and Ricay - they're on the way up. Shame about Ramsgate - oh well, can't win 'em all!

Have to say Ramsgate were very lucky to come out with the 3 points today as they were in the back foot throughout the second-half. Ramsgate only had a handful of oppurtunities in the second-half of which 2 resulted in goals. However Ramsgate were the better side in the first-half and the half-time score should have been 3-1 to Ramsgate. Folkestone should have 2 penalties which were both turned away, Folkestone also had a late goal disallowed, hit the post late on and forced a good save by Paul 'got lobbed from 40 yards' Wilkerson. Overall a point would have been a fair result, but sadly that never provaled (check spelling).

 

Also the Ramsgate support was laughable.

I agree with you alex, that just about sums up the match today! Although the results did really go for us today Bromley apart! We just have to win the games in hand that's all!

I travelled with Alex & saw the same game but in truth Ramsgate were the better side all through & deserved the win I thought. Folkestone were poor today but still managed some decent chances.

Definately (1) penalty turned down for Invicta when the score was 1-0 to Rams. Kola really tried today & worked his socks off.Remy was quite poor apart from one decent header. Ramsgate had a free kick just outside the area in the first half that was superb.I was impressed with that. Referee was the same as last week at our game,the young one. He was so very lenient today it was untrue.

A draw would i.m.o have been harsh on Ramsgate to be fair.

Heres a message for Richard Lawson.Your club is getting a bad name because of a couple of individuals. Individuals that I have been reliably informed have been banned from Upton Park in the past.They sing their hearts out but not for the team.They are rude,foul mouthed & are just there looking for trouble. Word is rapidly getting round about your club because of these two.Sort it or your name will continue to be blackened.I understand words have been said to you on a previous occasion about these two but so far you have failed to take action.Hey,Its your club, but until you rid the terraces of these kinds of people you will continue to get that bad name. Yes I know its only two guys but they are doing your club absolutely no good at all.They disgrace all your other fine Ramsgate fans.Your choice!

Just to close on two quotes of the day from Folkestone that I thought were brilliant & needed to be mentioned.

From one of those two today "What a [****!!****]-hole you have down here".Had to laugh at that one. Talk about the pot calling the kettle an' all that. Couldn't stop chuckling at that one.

The other quote was from Folkestone fans & I thought it was hilarious. About Ramsgate FC : "You're only a small town in Margate"! Priceless.

Of course this is all fun & banter but going back to those two idiots,well I don't like to hear "You're going to get a boot rapped round yer head" every 5 minutes. There are women & children at these grounds & to me that is way over the top & isn't necessary in any circumstances or in any ground.It wasn't pleasant to hear for an adult let alone for women & children.It all sets a bad example for those youngsters too.

Incidentally I thought results were good for us today.Really good.But we still need to go out there & win those games in hand otherwise these results aren't going to look half as good as they do today.

Agree with you cookie those 2 so called fans should and will be banned sonner rather than later. Although we give them stick in general Ramsgate fans are OK and need these other two removed from the scene.

An Official from Ramsgate appologised to Taffy Allan and me at half time about the conduct of those 2 so called Rams supporters. He said he would do evertything in his power to ban them from Deadwood however, I do not think he could ban them from supporting the Rams away.

 

Anyway as Taffy Allan and I drove back past the ground we witnessed a fight and, reading the Folkestone MB it seems that the 2 so called Rams were involved.

 

I must say that I had quite a nice chat with Ginge at half time. It is just a shame that he does not come out of the closset and change his alligance to us.

During the second half I was behind the goal Ramsgate where kicking. The three left and went up the far end, looking for trouble? I don't know but possibly.

 

Cookie did you give Alex anything in the car... he is talking more crap than normal. Folkestone deserving at least a point, and also Ramsgate's vocal support being laughable? Even the Folk said we outsung them.

Despite their awful vocal behaviour & their aggressive body language it was they who gave the vocals on the day followed by a couple of "lets join in" brigade. Without them there WOULDN'T have been any noise from the away support.Margate fans(about 30 of us)probably were just as vocal yesterday if not more,especially in that second half. Fair play to Ramsgate players, even our added support for the home team couldn't dampen their day & credit to them for that. Maybe it was just a case of the home team not being good enough.As it turned out that was the way it was.

I would say we sang more in the second half up the far end WITHOUT the two you mentioned. It just probably did not seem so as that end was not covered.
