GAME OFF

It dosen't surprise me. I walked the pitch yesterday afternoon & from entering the ground the pitch looked magnificent. However once I walked onto the pitch it seemed o.k at first on the wing areas but the more I walked in towards the centre circle the "squelchier" it got. Ray was doing his utmost to get the water off but anymore rain i.m.o.would have had this called off & so that has occurred & the postponement has resulted. Had the drying winds been continual, with NO overnight rain I reckon the match would have had a slight chance of going ahead. Alas it wasn't to be.

From a football perspective, a good thing imo as on a poor pitch, it evens the game up;although it now means a game on a dreaded Tuesday night.

3 away games on the Trott now then.

From the clubs financial perspectivie-not so good i guess with no income stream now until 6 Feb.
