Got my ticket for the Polyphonic Spree show at Kentish Town in a few days. SteveP saw them at the weekend, and I believe Thornsy did also. Should be a cracking show, and quite an experience.

I got my tickets to see The Libertines today @the Astoria. I can't wait! They're being supported by The Detroit Cobras, The Hiss and The Sights, all of whom I've never heard of!

Tim DeLaughter's previous band, Tripping Daisy were good.

 

Saw The Polyphonic Spree at Reading and thought that they were pretty average.

I would imagine at Reading they probably had a half hour spot in the afternoon sometime.

 

Hopefully, headlining their own indoor gig will be a quality experience.

they're not quite the proclaimers, heard a couple of reasonable Mull Historical Society tracks before, think it was 'She's watching xanadu' which sounded alright

News was beginning to emerge today of the disappearance of a 27 year old St Albans man known as 'Colin Zeal' (thought to be a pseudonym) It is believed Mr Zeal was abducted by the group/cult 'The Polyphonic Spree' it is as yet unclear why the band have stolen Mr Zeal, although early reports that it had something to do with his amazing lovemaking abilities, capacity for alcohol, and friendship with the legendary 'Thornsy' now appear to have been greatly exaggerated. Police are refusing to confirm the terrifying rumour that Mr Zeal was a known fan of Richard Littlejohn.
