heard this on BBC Radio Kent, AFC Wimbledon may of played a player on Saturday that they shouldn't of.

taken from Dons website:

Club statement

We have been asked by the FA for clarification of the status of one of our players in the recent FA Trophy match against Gravesend. We have replied today giving them full answers to their queries and we have offered to give any additional information they may require.

so we maybe back in wooo

Whilst we didn't deserve anything from the game - and looked like we could have played until Monday without creating a clear cut scoring chance, I would leap at the chance of a reprieve.

Home tie v Rushden, most of the big names already gone. If the FA rule in our favour, it will be really tough on Wimbledon, fans club, huge support, high profile, no doubt everyone is rooting for them.

Rules are rules though.

If they have transgressed , then out they must go.

And if we took the rest of the competition seriously, we really could go all the way.

They are indeed, but I'd take no pleasure going through this way. It seems unnecessarily harsh for something that probably had little bearing on the game, and in a less hectic schedule, the rule should be changed to at least replay the game rather than let a team who lost progress.

I wouldn't either , Stu. It happened to Bury? in the FA cup, though, and out they went.

Whilst I would have some sympathy for the Wimbledon fans, I'm sure they would leap at the chance of a reprieve, had we won, and, say brought on Akinde, who wasn't properly registered.

(I know he is, but that is just a hypothetical example)

Unless of course it was a player who, for the sake of argument cleared a shot off the line.

In any event, from what I have heard, it may not be as straight forward as AFC out G&N back in.

We wouldn't get the Prize money.

I read that Chester got Bury's prize money in the FA Cup, thought the same would apply to the Trophy.
