Was listening to Talksport as I struggled home tonight, and they were discussing the latest Premiership TV deal.

The showing of games abroad deal has just been finalised... The deal was for £625,000,000! Yes, thats six hundred and twenty-five MILLION squids! On top of the money the clubs already get from Sky!

The team who finish BOTTOM of the '07/'08 Prem table will still scoop 'prize' money of £27million! (plus any extra TV money for cup games and the 2 years parachute payments etc)

FFS that kinda money makes the mind boggle - no wonder clubs can afford to chuck £130,000 a week on players!

It would be better for ALL of football if that money could be directed away from the Prem, and forced down the leagues.

That was virtually guaranteed never to happen when the Premiership was formed.

If Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal have their way and form a Super European League, with teams from abroad, even less money would filter down to the lower Leagues.
