Deserves an MBE , OBE , the whole damm lot for the time and effort he puts into looking after HARTSDOWN PARK , if it was`nt for him we would have no footy to watch at the mo , ive only spoken to him a couple of times but he no`s his stuff alright , if my garden was like harts down when it looks its best im sure id be as proud as Ray is of HDP. Well done mate.

When we are Champions in April the Club should ensure that Ray and people like Ray who have played their part in "Team Margate" also pick up some medal or memento. Without them matchdays would not function.

 

Apart from you guys and gals on the forum, who else would give any thought to the folk who ensure there is footie to watch on matchdays.

 

Most fans just turn up, pay their money and it all happens smoothly without anyone noticing what happens behind the scenes before, during and after the game!

 

People only "notice" when things don't happen, such as at Deadwood on Boxing Day!

 

So, if you get to read this Ray, a thousand thanks and blessings from this Arab, to you and all who are part of "Team Margate".

The backroom staff never get much appreciation, but an exception has to be made for Ray. Without him we would have not played as many home games as what we have played this season. A fantastic groundsman and a fantastic man. He deserves an award of some type for all of his hard work. Keep it up.

My congratulations to Ray too. As other people have said a nice bloke to chat too as well. I always remember to try and thank him and Mark for all the hard work they put in to get these games played when I see them at the game. Great idea from Abdullah too.
