From the Ryman forum re:council support for Dartford

I thought this was an interesting post, and for all the supporters efforts, we could do with a bit of similar positive support from TD Council.

Before everyone 'blames' the council though, has any MFC director actually asked someone from the Council for similar;which in fairness would have to be for both Thanet clubs;but nothing wrong with that.

We could have a petition signed by the whole of Thanet asking for the Council to have a positive approach to the club but whilst that clown Ezekiel has his dictatorship (sacking the two blokes who stood against him for the party leadership) we have a hope in hell.

He WILL pay for his actions or lack of them

I think we all look on Dartford Council with respect for what they have achieved. We have the same problem in Enfield with a council that doesn't seem to give a damn about finding the premier club in the Borough its own home, even though we are extremely actiove in the community.

The council and i surpose the club have alot of questions to answer really , and you have to think what have the club said to the players in getting them to come and play for Margate . I know they have to sell themselves to make them interested and if MFC have said that this will happen and that will happen and it dos`ent what will the players think , are they thinking like us WHEN will it begin . I just hope they are as dedicated to the whole cause as they are to there football . The players are doing there bit on the pitch thats all we can ask of them but the rest needs to be sorted out or at least let us know where the club and the council are really at .

I think the players are geared up for this year Andy know matter what goes on or dosen't go on OFF the pitch.Next year could see an exodus if nothing gets under way but I'm sure these guys want to see this year out & win this league at least. I really do think we need some update on things from the club & I hope it is forthcoming soon.

totally agree with you Cookie, 18mths ago we really had nothing of a team but now we`ve got a squad that is looked upon as title winning squad with the possibility of going even further. So its got to be as you said forthcoming and soon so we can plan for next yrs assult on the Conf sth providing we get there . I don`t think we as fans could see the players walk away again as they have done in the past , and we would never be able to bring in the quality we have now because the clubs name would be a laughing stock in football with promises that never happen .

Its a very hard topic to talk about as we all say on the terraces heard anything (NO) have you (WELL IVE HEARD THIS) but,and thats it , most of us just waiting for the day , if it happens great if it don`t wait another week. MFC & council Should talk with DFC & Dartford council.

Good news about Dartford..And the club needs to do something about the ground as soon as possible.

I hope that lessons can be learnt from how Dartford FC worked with their local council.

On the field RT has done really well but what is happening off the field is just as important.

For the club to develop we need to hear some good news about the ground. Soon.
