Lato - You're a true film buff Barry Norman style aren't you, I'm still impressed at how you knew immediately that Charlton Heston was involved in that epic scene of the parting of the Red Sea when I likened him to 'the messiah', namely Clement Temile.

3praise - For a number of reasons, firstly I can't seem to access the Forum from work any longer since Ian changed the format, secondly I'm not a huge fan of the new style and feel that it has sadly frightened a lot of the regulars away. Thirdly 'Sugar' sorry 'Amin' has been making waves with our Chairman as he incredibly e-mailed him to get me to refrain from posting. We all just shook our heads in disbelief but he hasn't got a leg to stand on as it's a public Forum so if you see him at Holmer Green tomorrow say that I'll see him in Court, a sentence that will be familiar to him. That's exactly what I mean by 'dictatorial' in a Robert Mugabe and Idi Amin fashion and he is picking on the wrong person.

Yes, I had been wondering about this supposed publicity - because I don't know of one Hendon supporter who has actually seen it! There are probably quite a lot of our supporters who aren't even aware that we are allowing Kentish Town to use the stadium when conditions allow.

Rhodes, the first half of this quote seems to indicate that Mr. Achillea's request for you to refrain from posting is actually one of the reasons why you have starting posting less. Therefore, the second half of this quote can be dismissed as poppycock. I really don't know why you bother throwing around idle threats, other than to bring attention to yourself.

Would you care to comment on this, Rhodes? Or will we get the usual "head in the sand" technique you adopt when you are frequently sussed out on here?

Well it's not me who is throwing around the idle threats is it, as for posting less I'm flattered to be missed however I can assure you that it's purely because I'm not a fan of the new format and nothing more. As for the Hendon fan that occasionally comes on here to comment on our groundshare I am hoping that we can use the hallowed Claremont Road turf again on 3 February when we meet Harpenden Town 'at home' but if not we will deal with it in our very own unique 'Bedouins of non league football' way.

So why did you say to 3praise earlier in this thread that there were a number of reasons, including the fact that the Haringey Chairman had, via the Kentish Town Chairman, told you to? In case you've forgotten in the few hours inbetween, here is what you said again:

Well yes that had something to do with me keeping a lower profile for a few days whilst the Chairman checked out with his high profile Solicitors whether 'Sugar' had a leg to stand on with his silly trademark threats that he tries to use to scare people off whenever he is backed into a corner. I'm not denying what I said to 3praise who will no doubt be on shortly as 'the voice of Sugar' when he gets back triumphant from Holmer Green.

Too early to say about 3rd February - but the pitch did cut up quite badly this afternoon in places.

Anyway Rhodes, where can I find this supposed publicity we've been getting?

Well there are one or two examples on the link below for starters but that barely scratches the surface:

Can you get the Islington Gazette where you live, you're all over that like a rash whenever we play on the hallowed Claremont Road turf and Camden Council are really appreciative of you helping us out.

Good evening Rhodes, a simple run down of the events at Holmer green today, having to peep over bushes to have a look at the match such is the ground at Holmer green i am glad that i was able to get a good patch to see through, Haringey where much the stronger side in the first half having done their homework from the loss there in the cup, and played some neat - comfortable, good looking football played as it should be. 3 goals in the first half more or less sealed the game. Holmer green come out in the second half all guns blazing knowing they would have to up their game alot to beat a very good attacking Haringey side, Haringey started the 2nd half with their foot off the gas, and paid for it with some slack defending giving away a penalty. When Haringey scored their 4th the game was over and a much deserved 3 points were in the bag.

Did you not pay to get in then, how come the Chairman didn't give you the £4.00 if you were short, from what I remember Holmer Green's pitch is not obstructed by bushes and the views are good whereby you are right on top of the play. Anyway congratulations on the third successive away league victory, when are you likely to be playing on the hallowed Coles Park turf again, I see the Women's game was switched last week so I assume there are still problems.
