Charlie Mac wanted by Accrington Stanley!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Have just read the attached article on the sky sports web site.....

Accrington Stanley have moved to bolster their strike force by tabling a five-figure offer for a non-league striker.

The League Two strugglers have confirmed they have tabled a bid for one of the Conference's leading scorers, although his identity remains unknown.

The striker is not thought to be hot-shot Clayton Donaldson, who York City recently rejected a £100,000 bid for from Peterborough United.

Stevenage's Steve Morison has been mooted along with Gravesend's Charlie MacDonald, however, the target may well be Morecambe's former Man Utd youngster Michael Twiss.

The club have already brought one player in after landing Preston's teenage striker Chris McGrail on a month's loan.

"He's quick, aggressive and I've seen him play a few times. He scored against our reserves earlier this season," said manager John Coleman.

"Hopefully it'll be decent experience for him and hopefully he can give us a boost."

Meanwhile, Rikki Bains has left Accrington in search of first-team football while while ex-Blackburn man Joel Byrom has been released.

It'll be Twiss.

And Richard C I think the guy that scored against their reserves is Chris McGrail.

Not thought to be Clayton Donaldson...genius! Well, given that York City rejected a six-figure fee it's unlikely they'd accept a five-figure fee...

Don't forget kids, all media texts are constructed and offer a mediated view of reality - Sky is no different to The Distorter, BBC, ceefax, confguide et al.
