As a dear friend , i was shocked and saddened by the announcement of the passing of Chris Glaister a great supporter of Slough. Chris through his illness had not been able to attend for a few years , but of course most of you know Wayne his son who is a very regular to Slough Matches.

we all would like to pass our condolences to Wayne and his Family...at this very sad time..

Will not try to understand how you are feeling, despite having been there twice myself. Always enjoyed my chats over the years with Chris, he talked some garbage sometimes, but hey that's refs for you. Will try to get up once details known.

I meet Chris during my first visit in 1996. Before Wayne moved out of his parents house I used to stay there during my visits. A lovely and cosy place which I always felt welcomed to. Specially remember the late evening chats in the tv room when the other had went to sleep and his huge collection of Slough programmes.

My deepest condolences go out to Wayne and the family.

He wasn't looked on just as a mates Dad.

He was our mate as well.

We had a laugh, and I have loads of Chris stories I could tell.

His illness kept him away from games over the last year or so, and he was missed, and he will be for a long time to come.

We gave each other stick, argued, and called each other names. We watched Slough games together, he took me to see Charlton get stuffed by Chelsea, and always got each other a silly gift for Christmas.

I'm gonna miss the silly old Bellend telling me off for creasing a programme, and I'm not ashamed to admit it has hit me far more than I thought it would.
