Read that statistic in the local paper. They've sold a few of their best players. Kightly went to Wolves and Mclean to Peterboro and the replacements they've brought in haven't really done the business.

 

Boylan hasn't reproduced his form from his Canvey days and also you've got the fact that Justin Edinburgh is manager there now. He was absolutely useless with North Basildon although he did get Fisher promoted.

 

There was talk they were moving to a new ground near Basildon but that seems to have died a death.

Given Fisher's budget I don't think promotion was a great achievement!

 

Grays were on the telly the other week and the commentator mentioned that the ground was going to be developed for housing next year. That suits me: I hate the place. What's the word on the street?
