A statement from a man who doesn't know football

Recommended Posts

I knew somehow that the last time i posted that Mr Smith just wouldn't be able to leave it.

Well, now being accused of not knowing anything about football, and attacking executive members and players at Concord Rangers I feel I should add a little and then leave this.

Firstly yes I am a referee, have been for eleven years and am only twenty five years of age.

May I also add, I am the secretary and treasurer of Old Island Boys, the biggest club in Sunday football with a total of four mens teams, some 12 youth teams too.

I have my CSL badge, a very handy qualification for coaching, especially abroad, mainly the states, although not good enough to earn £26 million a year where David Beckham is going, although if thats where the money is!

I have four years managerial experience, and have played since I was 10, maybe surprisingly, for Concord Rangers for four years.

I have a FA coaching qualification and plan to climb the ladder and take the UEFA license inside seven years as it is very expensive and time consuming, and not many teams want a 25 year old manager even if they know the game inside out and have qualifications coming out of their ar*e.

I am also a player now, and infact played against several ex concord players yesterday for Old Island Boys vs Isla Athletic. Gus, Marc Collins, Nath Collins, Sam Ing, my brother Jamie Clarke, Dave Whitley, Lloyd Turner etc. Game finished 2-2 so must know a little to play against good players, and remain top of the league.

I have never had a go at any player or executive member at concord, never, except you and then I just defended my brother because I think a club chairman shouldn't be posting negative issues on a site like this, he should promote concord, and sell the club, not demean it.

That year you set the alliance up went really well, Eddie took that team and in a year won the cup against set up clubs who had been together years. He managed the players well and won games. I followed that the whole way, even reffed or lined games, and showed my support as far as I could too.

So if the door is open then i've got no problems coming down and seeing anyone and putting any differences straight, would rather do that than post on a website.
