Guess who I had the pleasure of serving at work today...

...none other than Jim Ward! We had quite a leisurely chat about the games involving the two Thanet clubs yesterday. He talked of Ramsgate's bad luck (especially with a bad injury to one of Ramsgate's players), and how he felt they deserved something out of the game. He asked how we played, and who scored. On hearing that Hockton scored one, he remarked that he was very quiet on Boxing Day. To which a discussion ensued about who should have won the game; Ward stating that he felt Margate were lucky with a point. He then bought his items, and wished us good luck next week. I must admit (although grudgingly): it was a plesant chat with a very nice bloke.
