That has to be the worse ref we have ever had

I'd say he had a game of two halves - thought he was good in the first half & poor in the second. Two strange decisions in the second half, one Worthing player had Proths in a headlock and he gave a free kick against Pinns who tried to break it up, then the charge on SCS was a definite red card.

He looked very young I thought I thought apart from the instances mentioned he was an o.k referee. He was no worse than others that we have seen.

He got that wrong, the foot in but overall he was just above average. But only JUST above average.Certainly not the worst we have had.

We have seen far worse than him. I thought he did well; not too many cards and not too much pettiness about exact placing of the ball etc.

The handball should have been a pen in the second half.

Not so sure that tackle deserved a red. If I was a Worthing supporter I might be commenting how as soon as the card was shown SCS made a miraculous recovery. Not only that but our sub keeper never even took off his tracksuit.

When he leaves school he should take it up permanently.

Well I will be writing to his Headmaster and asking him to be put in detention till he learns the rules of the game better. I have also booked him an eyesight test at 'Ward' opticians so he can see the game better.

By the by if you want to see another referee making a mess of it watch the video of Bromley's first goal. Those referee's out there give your view of his decission to disaalow then allow the goal (not more than 1,000 words please).

In conclusion I must say the lino deserves some of the blame on the fracass that happened after Scott was assaulted as he moved to within 10 yards of it and should have reported there no 8. He should have also reported thierr no 10 & 11 for constant fouling of Abbo.

nice to see so many other views, this is what I love about footy and the Forum. Regarding SCS, I was at the other end (away keeper end)and by then the ref had cheesed me right off, so I was biased

Waking up this morning and reading others postings, perhaps he wasn't as bad as I felt straight after the match

Funny old game

Unbelieveable Chris how can you say a miraculous recovery from Scott shortly after the foul if you saw the stud markings to his chest perhaps you might appreciate that he is infact a very brave keeper who under difficult conditions managed to do a fine job keeping goal. As for the idiot who suggested Scott needed kicking lessons on an earlier posting well clearly this moran could not have observed the truly awful conditions yesterday both keepers were in fact finding the conditions difficult on occasions both keepers kicked the ball out of play. It is not about the kicking ability of England's number one it was the terrible conditions.

Keep it going boys up the gate.

Well then 'Chalmerboy', you have chosen to call me an idiot and a moron for my comments about your son/stepson (I am guessing here), so you will be expecting me to respond in kind.

I would like you to know I have voted Scott man of the match on several occasions.

Like every player, he has his good and bad points. His shot stopping is impeccable. His kicking could be improved; I am sure he will acknowledge that himself.

The 'incident' on Saturday was no big deal. Scott let go of the ball and the opponent went in for it. There was contact and the yellow card was correct (as I stated above). I am not questioning Scott's bravery, just commenting on the situation as I saw it.

As for the goal conceded, I and several other posters felt Scott should have called for the ball. This is also the view of Robin Trott, our manager, as stated to Steve Wells on Margate's official site.

So, in a nutshell, Scott is one of the best keepers we have seen in recent years. He is not perfect and I don't think he would claim to be.

You 'Chalmerboy' have gone in very heavy in your post, which might have the opposite effect to what you intend.

Listen, I am very close friend of your goalkeeper down at Margate, and I have watched Scott for years from his Academey years at Watford all the way up untill now.

I have watched several games this season and read everyones opinions on the message board the last few months and have chose not to voice my opinion untill now.

It is very frustrating to hear comments about Scott such as 'needs kicking lessons' knowing his ability and potential! I watched the game Saturday and spoke with Scott after the game and just like he said in his inteview he accepted full responsibility for the goal-it happens, not very often but it happens! As for the kicking if you had watched the game in full you would have noticed both keepers struggled with there kicking down the far end and both keepers were nearly kicking the full length of the pitch down hill!!

I appreciate your all going to have your view as fans and that you will have your own opinion but there is alot of slagging off that goes on in this forum, and I could accept that if the club were towards the bottom- Your top of the league the players are doing a great job and are gringing out results for the club.

You my friend are just gonna have to accept that its not always gonna be pretty football in this league, and take into consideration the playing conditions these guys sometimes have to play in!

I look forward to coming to see the next match I can get down to, hopefully another win for you guys - I think everyone should stop all this slagging off and start putting that energy into a few songz!
