Uxbridge game rearranged

Zoom, the replies on this messageboard have never been a particular problem. But why if we criticise the pitch do you have to revert to name calling? It is other incidents I have heard about and witnessed first hand that I was referring to.

This "banter" about the pitch is what you would expect from a landlord/tenant football club relationship. Your entitled to your views and we are just as entitled to ours. If Mal has a problem with our critical posts he can remove them.

Bare in mind that Woody really started this debate by referring to it as a "joke" himself.

Above all stop feeling that we should be grateful to Windsor. We are paying for the use of the pitch - it is a service that you are providing. Slough had other options in the Summer but opted for Windsor. We will have other options when this deal comes to be reviewed at the end of the season and I think it is pretty clear that Peter Simpson sees the extra revenue we bring as a big bonus.

The debate over the pitch rolls on and on but one thing is certain, ccome next season it will be head and shoulders above most others in the league. Now it is clearly not great, but i would bet even by the end of the season (come March-April time when pitches start to get hard and dry and ours is soft and well drained)our pitch will start to look pretty healthy. Sometimes it takes time to get things looking good, sometimes it takes a large upheaval and a big change to get things looking good. the team is looking good after taking a little time to gel, remember pre-season?!?!? And so shall the pitch. it would be a loss for both Windsor (financially) and Slough (as it will be a good pitch next year) if Slough left at the end of the season. Although whether they will need a ground next season is still to be seen LOL ;-)

Let us marvel in the moral ground.

Yes anyone can post whatever there opinions are here, and most people will know i'm far from above being critical of the club when i think they've f*cked up. What i don't think is helpfull however is for someone to keep coming on the board for no other reason than to wind people up or to continaully post in a unconstructive fashion. We've discussed the pitch several times and we're all fed up of it.

The windsor sec does more than he has to in providing info on the pitch and what is being done to it and why for which i rarely see any thanks from the likes of you. Yes Slough pay good money and yes IMHO mistakes have been made, it happens. It wasn't done to p*ss anyone off. Slough should be greatfull, we partially saved your ars*s a few years ago and if you don't like it clear off.

If they didn't come to windsor they would of gone some place else. However it would of been to interesting to see if that place would take not getting paid rent on time is a different matter. But let's not make this us vs them after all we all use the same pitch and we cannot really do anything but have faith in the powers that be that they are doing the best they can to get the pitch in a fit state

Don't you think this is all a little out of context, yes games have been postponed but it's not like we're the only club to suffer, over the past 3 weeks I challenge anyone to list the clubs who have managed to keep every fixture on. Even some premiership clubs couldn't get fixtures to go ahead, with considerably more resources available than a small non league club.

If you care to look at the league table you will see that Slough are only 2 to 3 games behind the majority of clubs, only one behind others. This should not pose much of a problem to fit in - the're hardly struggling with a fixture pile up due to cup committments.

We've had a lot of bad weather and missed a few games, get over it and concentrate on the football

Woody once again shows that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Prior to agreeing to the ground share with Windsor, Slough had reached an agreement with Harrow to play there for £8,000 per season and a payment had already been made to secure the pitch for the first year. It was only when the fans objected to Harrow that more local and expensive option was found.

Slough only agreed to return to Slag Meadow this season after detailed assurances from Peter Simpson about the improvements that would be made to the pitch and a restriction on the use of the pitch for training and youth matches.

Yes the weather has been appalling and has affected many teams adversely. Looking at our table every side has played at least two games more than us with the exception of AFC who have been on cup runs. The vast majority have played three more and some have played up to 6 more games. I have no idea what your backlog is like because I'll only start looking at your division when we are playing in it next season but I know you don't seem to have played a game in ages. The reason it is a major issue for our two clubs is we are losing a scheduled game on the Slag Meadow pitch every week as oppossed to every other week like most teams.

The real question is: Is the pitch significantly worse then others at our level? The answer is yes and if you can't see that then you are blinded by loyalty to your club rather than guided by common sense.

So long and enjoy the fixture backlog.

I'd like a source to illustrate that my initial statement was false.

When you can provide it then and only then will i begin to take your posts seriously.

Good day.

Or alernatively: Blah blah blah blah blah.

To be fair though if we had your bunch of muppets for a side we'd try and blame any thing for our short-comings too.

If anyone think's i'm taking sh*t from a bunch of muppets who continue to press the issue when it's acknowledged that the club messed up initially before trying hard to rectify the problem are much mistaken.

Let them have their fun woody, they'll still lie about where they come from when asked, but who wouldn't be ashamed to come from a town so sh*t it doesn't even have a proper cash converters. excited

I see you are into politics Zoom and I see you use the misinformation of a politician by including in your post allegedly quoting Martin the ADDED text below:

Are you sure you are not Janik?

where is this whole posting actually going? it seems to be going nowhere.the fact remains that games have got called off because the pitch has not been able to handle the large amount of rainwater that we have recently.the past cannot be changed so can we please get over this. if we have a fixture backlog then we have a fixture backlog. end of. that can not be changed now.
