Not surprising that he has gone back to Justin Edinburgh.

However, i would question if SW would have been right for us anyway.

Is the SW of today, the same quality of player we saw briefly at MFC 5 years ago-i do not know but i suspect not.

Did i read somewhere that ex Welling and Lewes striker-Paul Booth was floating around the transfer market ?

As it is, i do begin to wonder if we nee that third striker anyway?

Danny and JP seem to be keeping fit,and to their credit, not getting alot of bookings.

If we create the chances from midfield, someone will score them-there is always Yiga, and Bagley appears to be fit again shortly.

Create the chances from midfield, and those guys will do enough to score.

Without Steve Mckimm, the midfield may want an injection on nw blood more than midfield ?

Midfield is the key imo

Sorry you have misunderstood me. Looking at the Margate front row (nos 7-11) where would you put a third striker in ? The weakest link has to be Abbo ... Jay or Pinns could cover the right wing to accommodate a twin central pairing.

If we don't sign anyone else this season then Abbo is going to be the one sacrificed for the reintroduction of McKimm. Sorry to be cruel to point this out, but Abbo is the 5th midfielder in the squad(behind Jay/Macca/JJ/Proths).

I agree Frankie, but don't think that pointing out he's low in the pecking order is slagging him off. If everyone interprets it as that - then I apologise.

The original 'offensive' remark, referring him as a swap for Watts was a tongue-in-cheek remark without any hidden agenda.

Wheres the SLAGGING off? Maybe some say a word or two over the top but in the main its just comments on a players form. Sometimes its good & sometimes not so good. I do wish some of you would stop denying others their right to voice there opinions & to making more of this than is intended.. They are not,I'm sure doing or saying things just for the fun of it or to upset or make worse a players form.I am sure that come match day despite the occasional under the breath moans on the day the majority WILL encourage all the players as much as they they can for the TEAM to get a result.

Don't apologise Peter for saying what you feel & theres no need to backtrack just to tow the line. You have a right to speak in whatever way you choose.I feel you make some good points & I agree with you on some of them.Abbot on his day CAN produce the goods but lately he has not been involved enough to show it(fact),compared to others, even though he improved on Saturday.
If he continues from where he left off on Saturday by getting involved more & improving his game then soon he will TOP of everyones list & be getting the praise for it. Now THERES encouragement for him!! He's as good as the others on his day & it looked like he's beginning to get back to the form we know he is capable of showing.
If we have his improvement in amongst the good form of the others then that big score-line that I believe is just around the corner will become a reality.

AS i suggested in another thread somewhere, Abbott has a 'hidden talent' in that he is invariably in space to receive a pass from Jay or LP ,and that is a major benefit to the team.

it may not be spectacular, but it is very important
