Its only half way through season,so no worries yet.

Anyway, in order, priority is to:

avoid relegation-and we have not done that yet !!

make the play-offs- If Chelmsford win, that makes play-offs easier to achieve

win the League-we'll see-would be nice and 'hope springs eternal', but not too many of us are relying on that anyway.

At start of season, i was looking for top 8 finish-must confess, i have adjusted my thoughts to wanting a play-off place minimally now

Rob,why don't you put your updates on your own forum or have you REALLY become a GATE fan?
Its only one game, & its not over yet & even if it does end up as a win for Chelmsford its still a good result for us.We couldn't lose tonight even though staying top would have been preferred obviously. As for your comments I presume you were talking of Ramsgate slipping out of the play offs if this results stays the same. The more the top teams beat each other the better it would be for your lot.Sometimes you speak without thinking.
This result does you more harm than it does us! And all for a wind up & self satisfaction.

On second thoughts I am just going to ignore those comments altogether.

Result could have been better BUT its not THAT bad at the end of the night Puts AFC back a bit & stops their progress. Those games in hand now used up. We just have to score in that game in hand of Chelmsford by a few extra goals & we are right back up there again. This seesaw between us & Chelmsford will go on for a while yet until someone breaks. Hopefully it wont be us.Two important games coming up at home now. Not just to win them but to win them comfortably.

We have seen this situation in 1999 against Havant and Folkestone for promotion from the Southern League Southern Division and we saw it against Burton in 2001.

A title race between 2 or more (this years race has 8 clubs and a rabble in South Thanet) is only good for football as it keeps the interest for more people for a longer period
