good point kingky , that has set the precedence .
Also the year we stayed up with Wakering , Erith & Belvedere were deducted 3 points for playing an inelegible player and it cost them a place in the ryman league at the end of the season !

when romford played ineligle players in the cup they got kicked out the last 2 years. ironically one year it was callum again.

i would prefer a replay because we then get a chance to win the points shocked not that i hold out much hope of being able to win them lol

i think the best thing for the chasing pack would be deduction.

come on brentwood we fair to the rest of us grin

i wouldnt have thought bowers get the points. i would have said they will only get 3 points deducted but their league 'record' stay the same i.e showing they won the game.

a couple of years ago waltham abbey played an ineligible player v barkingside and the game was drawn. wabbey were deducted 1 point and barkingside kept their point.

Nope Bowers still get nothing... Brentwood lose the points, plus deduction of an extra 3 points for not doing their observant...

Manager / player / chairman / chief executive? Anyone of those?!

Sheesh Brentwood have got enough people working there to sort this pickle out!!! Havent they? shocked

If they lose 6 points they go down to 25 and 6th place in the table!

Not quite a precedent. A few years back West Ham played a "Cup tied" Manny Omoyinmi in the League Cup semi-Final v Villa and won 3-1.... The game was replayed!!!!! West Ham then lost the replay!!!

What has it got to do with Romford?

If anyone remebers there was a situation involving Romford in a league game at Brentwood two years ago when we beat them 5-1 and the game had to be replayed because we played an alleged suspended player.

In that instance we had checked with the Essex FA before the game who said the player was clear to play, we played him, the team sheet went to the ESL who siad the player should of been suspended and made us replay the game.

It was a case of between the Essex FA and the ESL, the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, Romford were the innocent victims yet were punished. As it turned out we won the rematch but only 3-1.

To this day I consider that the ESL acted very badly on that issue, but if we could not get away with that why should Brentwood even consider getting away with this. Unless of course money talks?????
