naughty brentwood seeking reprieve in european courts

Recommended Posts

as most people well know when brentwood travelled to play bowers at the len salmon stadium early in the season they played a central midfielder who was currently suspended. this player was named man of the match on the brentwood website after the game. we were playing without our 2 central midfield players who were, you guessed it, SUSPENDED. so we played by the rules and brentwood won the game.

according to the bowers forum they (brentwood) are prepared to go to the european courts to get the inevitable points deduction overturned. i believ they feel romford should take the blame - speculation of course.

what does everyone think?

do brentwood really need to worry so much about 3 measley points?

what if brentwood win the league by 2 points?

should they be deducted the points or the match replayed?

I always believed that it's down the club involved to ensure that any particular player is cleared to appear for a particular game in a particular competition.

They can't be serious about going to The European Court.

Wasn't it a Gorden Brasted cup tie that was involved in this particular case and if so shouldn't they be thrown out of the competition?

lol @ bboy

brentwood think they have it sewn up but fair play to them. arrogance never hurt anyone.

there are a few good lads at brentwood and i have no problem with them. think comments about european courts are a bit far fetched but must be true cos ive heard it a lot.

you would think one of brentwoods 9 coaches (one being the player concerneds dad) would have realised!!!! doah

Smallsy all the coaches at b wood were with us last year and i have no problem with them at all they are also my local club. Would however like to ask a few of them some private questions on a few issues but that will all be resolved one day.

AAs for arrogance read the b wood weekly news mate its almost as funny as watching sixy chase elbi round the pitch for 90mins. He goes on and on about how they are going to win the ryman next year Hornchurch never had this attituded they were great

blimey mate. all goes in the memory bank i suppose. proof will be in the pudding, if they dont win it egg will be on their face.

maybe its a tactic to get people through the turnstiles.

are you going to watch concord romford tonight? (off topic)

he had a great bite up at the first leg game in the league cup quarters at our assistant manager. I cracked up at their programme stating 7 coaches a director of football and 5 physios !!

Also , what happened to the superb terracing behind the goal , its just vanished !!

the words "clutch" and "straws" come to mind there...

sorry, but if you play an inelegible player, you lose the points, or get chucked out the cup...

same thing happened to Bury in the FA Cup, so why should it be different in the ESL?
