We still have overnight weather to concern ourselves with yet.We all know what Friday nights weather has brought us lately.Fingers crossed & if indeed the game gets the thumbs up then great thanks to them,& even for trying to get it ready. The morning will tell us a great deal. Lets hope that a victory comes our way too to make all this hard work by these magnificent fans worthwhile.

With the weather between now and the game looking clear we feel we have done enough to get the pitch playable. Obviously the match ref will have the final say but we tested it with a ball and the bounce and roll is fine.

New week-same title to the thread.

Teletext says showers tomorrow and then serious rain for next 3 days.

Personally, i think we should get the game postponed as early as possible and concentrate on preparations for ETU.

Playing games against lowly teams in quagmire conditions makes it a lottery.

We've scrapped through against Folkestone and Worthing, but sooner or later will come unstuck(literally ).

We are at our best on firmer pitches, and have no real fixture backlog so lets play teams on pitches where our class counts.

its alright RT saying he hates a backlog-but there is'nt one;and with respect; i think RT is thinking like a player and not a manager on this one.

We need to take every advantage we can, and whats the point of making it a more even game than it need to be.

Get it postponed asap if you ask me.

Also, if it goes ahead, it will ruin the pitch fo the rest of the season and make it very uneven, even when the drier weather comes.

Surely its better to have one postponement, than ruin the pitch(and our advantage of being a footballing side) for the rest of the season.

Of course, it may just be that the weather forecast is wrong !

Had a look at the pitch on Sunday and it looked terrible from the centre circle up to the far end goal through the middle of the pitch. Any serious rain in the second half of the week and it would be a major job to get it playable.

The great thing is that, despite a very difficult pitch on Saturday (and the strong wind), we still attempted to play the ball on the deck, and it paid dividends. If we are achieving this now, imagine how we will be playing in March/April time when (hopefully) pitches will be in a much better state and more suited to our style of football.
