"Daish sets Fleet transfer agenda"

One new player???

I wonder what happened to the three or four that Daish was looking to bring-in according to reports in the 'Distorter'?

Whatever the case surely he must be looking to replace Ekoku and if other rumours can be believed Anderson also.

I personally believe for the club to maintain a sustained challenge on the play-off positions, another striker (ideally a strong tall target man) and a experienced holding midfielder are essential.

I'd like to see Liam Hatch playing alongside MacDonald, something of a handful for any defence. Halifax had a Hatch-like player on Saturday and he was giving Ross all sorts of problems.

Is he not getting any games at Barnet then?

If they aren't using him he would certainly a good bloke to get in on a 3 month loan.

His goalscoring record isnt wonderful at Barnet - 21 in 3.5 seasons covering 87 starts and 34 sub appearances. This season he's only scored 1 goal in 19 games (12 starts and 7 as sub).Mind you I dont know how accurate the site is - it suggests he only started 1 game for us in 2001/2, but scored goals!! (I suspect league games for the Conference werent detailed fully & the 1 game shown was an FA Cup appearance)

I cant see we'd buy him - Barnet site says he had a contract for 4 years when he signed in 2003 and that has since been extended. We sold him for £23K (their figure) and I couldnt see him being affordable now, even if Barnet want to let him go. Given the number of games hes played this season, I cant see a loan being an option either somehow.
