GNFC Fanzine

Recommended Posts

Good to see a fanzine coming out soon.

At £3 I hope it reaches enough supporters of GNFC.

As a casual suppoter I will buy one.

I hope it is'nt tied to the clubs apron strings or the supporters club.

The best fanzines are truly independent, take Charlton and Fulham - (Voice of the Valley and TOOFIF) both were powerful voices and VOTV was key in taking Charlton back to the valley.

Good Luck with the venture...

To put peoples mind at rest.

When I offered to do a couple of pieces for the fanzine I asked if there were any restrictions and was told none within reason.

I certainly wouldn't want to be associated with a rag that only sucks up to the bosses!

By the way, those of you who think Charlie is a God will no doubt enjoy one of my articles on a certain Mr Portway (if its been included!)

just like to be one of the 1st on here to say well done on the fanzine.

just a couple of ideas for future issues. (Of course ignore me if im wrong)

Go to A5 then it can have more pages and go black and white, just looking at some other fanzines i have got from various clubs. Most are like that then maybe with a colour cover but overall very good. applause2

Heres to the next issue of "Still No !dea"

I think it was a good first effort but agree it would be better A5 size. It just seemed to be huge pages with really big writing.

Plus it didn't fit in my pocket but an A5 programme does and a lot of people seemed to be having similar problems.

Suggestion - I bought mine from the guys near the programme stand, but only because the husband noticed what they were selling. Be a bit more vocal boys and you might sell some more!

Thanks for the suggestions, all are welcome.

Today was just a trial run, theres still a lot more that we can do with it. We made it that size due to it being the first edition, and therefore "special". Future editions will be A5 and probably black and white.

As for the selling we wasn't sure what to do. The weather was a factor and we wasn't sure if it was going to start raining, which if it did we obviously could sell them at the gate. We would prefere to sell them at the gate as we have more freedom. The trouble I have is I'm not a shouter, when selling Golden Goals I tend to approach people one at a time rather than shout "Golden Goal". I find it sells more. But today I didn't want to get right in the way of the programme hut or Sandra who was selling the Golden Goals. So I had to find the best available position which was out of the way of people who come through the gate and head to the bar. Maybe I need to stand on that little mound next to the programme hut and begin to shout, weather permitting of course.

Sorry we missed you Hirsty but we still have some left, when we know the weather situation closer to the Stevenage game I'll let you know where we'll be and we can work it out from there.

If people want to contribute to future editions please PM me or speak to me when you see me.
