Video Clips Halifax Game

Sacha in swashbuckling mode

Luke Moore. 1-1

Was Lance fouled?

When we went 1-2 down, I thought another Kidderminster was on its way. They had outmuscled us, disrupted our pattern & were breaking dangerously. However, I thought we got our way back into things well and despite the appalling conditions, looked very bright in what was played of the 2nd half.

Felt sorry for the Halifax fans at the time. Having read their forum, I don't anymore. Is it compulsory to think, write & spell like a moron up there?

What a stupid, bigoted view, A bit like thinking all Londoners are miserable, dodgy car salesmen.

Why did the G&N supporters team try to "rip the Halifax supporters team apart"

Quote from the Halifax message board;

"I think It's starting to come together now. we played some good football in tricky conditions today, showed some passion and got in about them.

They had some attacking spells just before and after half time and we defended well. Trotman was very good, confident, carried the ball well and passed it well.

Killeens goal was a good un.
And Joynes is a real competitor, holds the ball up well and brings others into the play

Agree that there wasn't an option to call it off, the ball had stopped running and bouncing, although the pitch wasn't too muddy..."

What's wrong with that?

Is this true?
"...even before the game began we were shouted at by there players and called F U C K I N C U N T S for taking a couple minutes to have a team talk - this after we had set off at 5.30 am and made a 500 mile round trip!!....

.....they embarrassed there club even more during their game when one of there squad walked off the field with ten minutes to go because he COULDNT BE ARSED playing with them ,leaving em with only ten players...."

If so why behave like this?

Sorry. The continual sheets of rain made nearly all the videos of the 2nd half virtually impossible to view, so I deleted them. I did have a reasonably clear clip of the action which ended with their keeper spilling the ball, but I stopped filming the instant he appeared to collect the ball, being taken by surprise by what happened next just as he was.

Oh God, stop bleating. As you said yourself, don't judge a whole club by the behaviour of a minority.

In the two games I played for the supporters team, I picked the Kidderminster captain up at the station, then went and picked half his team up before the game as they couldn;t find the ground. Swings and roundabouts, mate, get over it.

Nothing. You have quoted a perfectly reasonable post but given what I saw I'd say you have had to search pretty hard to find a balanced view. Before I gave up in disgust, I read a whole page of drivel last night with people bragging about being thrown out, giving people the finger, laughing at a female steward who was unimpressed with foul & abusive language, saying it's all part & parcel of football. (The racists used to say that too.)

Do you condone this kind of comment? I doubt it. Has anyone told these idiots to shut up as would have happened without a shadow of a doubt on this forum?

I do not think all northerners are illiterate morons. In fact I spent a week in Hebden Bridge some years back & found Halifax a friendly & attractive town & would gladly return.

I was not at the supporters match so cannot comment with authority. However, if the things you quote, like the foul language during the huddle, did happen, then those people responsible did more than just embarrass our club & I would not want to be associated with them.

Ah the old stop bleating, and get over it ploy, when there's no answer. These lads came to play your supporters in a friendly atmoshpere and were abused,

"don't judge a whole club by the behaviour of a minority."

Isn't that what you did in your original post Graham? we aren't all morons

Fortunately, our experience of people from Grays and Canvey have been excellent, so we don't hold the usual stereotypical views of Southern people.

You don't have a motor for sale Guv? do you? ;-)

Sorry, but this bloke's been bleating about everything. I'm not defending the behaviour of some supporters in the team, but as you'll see on another thread the (entirely innocent) organiser of the supporters team has apologised. What more is there to say? Yes, those fans should be ashamed if they were indeed so aggressive. As should your bloke who tries to jump turnstiles for a living.

Graham,

No I don't condone Abusive language to stewards, or anyone else for that matter. No place for it in my opinion.

I do think you're reading some drunken ramblings off the Hx board. Einstein they're not!! and for the record the people I spoke to at G&N yesterday were fine.

Hope your season goes well

Cheers.

For what it's worth, you are obviously in a false position in the league. A strong physical side, but one that can play incisive passing football too.

If you can, come back for the re-match, but try to persuade the drunken ramblers to stay at home!

I'll try to get back for it, Suppose it all depends when it is now, however the Jug heads aren't likely to travel on a Tuesday night

We're not in a false position, our away form has been truely attrocious, however, we're improving no doubt about it, and a couple of the loan signings are very promising.

Good luck

It will be on date acceptable to both clubs, I'll put it on the website as sson as I know.

It was quite quick when the match at Halifax was called off last year, leaving me to spend a blank day in Yorkshire, but then the original match was quite near the end of the season.

As I recall we arranged it for the Tuesday after the Morcambe match so that the players could stay up there and reduce the travelling.

Maybe Halifax will do the same if they still have to come to one of the Home County sides

Secretaries compare dates & agree it. Could be any date between now & the end of the season, almost certainly a Tuesday. Although a Saturday would be better for their supporters, I don't want to wish an early Trophy exit on both teams (though Halifax have a much tougher tie) just to provide a free weekend.
