I believe Paul McCarthy was suspended today following the yellow card he received against Rushden, presumably as the match was abandoned he will have to miss the next match instead.

Does the Trophy count or will it be Exeter?

Either would be bad news as we really seemed to miss him today.

I THINK THAT BECAUSE THE YELLOW CARDS STILL COUNT EVEN THOU THE SCORE DOESNT IT MEANS THAT MACCA AS DONE HIS GAME BAN AND CAN RETURN IF FIT TO THE TEAM NEXT WEEK BUT IM NOT TO SURE SO ILL TRY AND FIND MORE INFO ON IT

AS the rules say "a player is suspended until his team has completed 1 First Team Match" and the game wasnt completed, I'm almost certain that Macca will miss next Saturday. Better than missing Exeter, I think. One look at the goals conceded figures with and without Macca tells a story - 5 games without Macca - 11 conceded (6 & 13 if you include today) - 23 games with Macca - 21 conceded. 14 of those came in 5 games as well 2x2, 2x3 and 1x4), so we've only actually conceded 7 goals in the other 18 games that Macca has played. Macca must definitely be in the running for Player of the Season based on performances to date - nothing spectacular but always so solid & consistent.

Doubt if we would have conceded the 1st with him playing. Liam was yelling himself hoarse to watch the player coming in from the right on the angle & nobody picked him up. Don't know about 2nd - only looked up in time to see it going in.

 

Thought we got ourselves back into the game nicely after looking briefly as if we might cave in as we did against Stafford & Kidderminster. If the pitch had stayed playable I'd have fancied us to get at least a point the way we were applying ourselves.

 

Having had a look at the Halifax forum, I hope we stuff them stupid in the re-arranged fixture. I've never seen anything like it & no voice of reason to shut up the morons spouting bigoted, mindless, illiterate bow locks. I'd be ashamed if they were our fans. Do they have schools up there?
