you forget one important point, Brimmo do not want us there, as their membershup stated in their recent EGM.

Unless we are improving the Ground, then that is okay.

I'm led to believe that their preoccupation may well be their debts (which are thought to be significant) and may therefore if that is the case hang a bit like a mill stone around their necks.

Along comes somebody who is making all the signals that if they are given what they want they are going to significantly remove or reduce those debts. Who would you choose in their shoes? They dont need further work on the ground to play at their level.

We can build a ground and spend tens of thousands on it in terms of time, money and materials as we do each year but their millstone is what they may well be preoccupied with. We have to recognise that and find a way back into their hearts by meeting their needs as well as our own.

If we havn't found a way to their hearts by now ,i doubt we never will.Maybe with their debt, the question is,how do Brimdswon find a way back to our hearts. Then their bar revenue might increase.

At one stage we were spending good money in their bar on saturdays and thursdays, and hiring out the Downs on a regular basis..etc.It is entirely down to their own attitude and unfriendliness, that we now feel forced to socialise and drink elsewhere.

PS.. What level are Brimdswon Fc at in the pyramid? And would they require seating in order to progress to the next level if promoted? If the answer is yes, then they do need us to be sharing.

Why back into our hearts? Where are we going to go?

Brimsdown are in the Spartan League (Division 1?)if memory serves me and I think they may need 50 seats.

If there are others willing to share with them who are more to their liking what makes you think we as tenants can't be paxo'ed?

You don't mean Spurs are wanting to ground share at Brimmo whilst they are waiting for the Olympic stadium to be built, do you?

I have heard that Spurs will win their appeal as teh councillors, environmentla lobby and planners had no objections. However, as they have had to appeal, they will not have to put in place the same community scheme as was originally offered. If that is true then Town could be f*cked. All this because of that old witch Jose O'Whore and her little band of cronnies.

Yes, she seems to have an inbuilt hatred of local sport and any attempts to build sports facilities in Enfield. But has seemily no problem at all with the building of housing developments and vast retail parks on here doorstep.

I suppose she thinks that more housing and more retail might bring a few more people to her Curtain shop.

The councillors must have had objection to the project or they would have approved the plans. Further the planning application stands as it was submitted - they cannot appeal against refusal of part of the application as no decision was made on part of the application. It was my information that the whole project, including the community scheme, was submitted and the whole project is up for appeal.

Mind you I also believe that Spurs will win their appeal as there is no planning reason why they should not.

The appeal should succeedas the application had Officer's recommendation for approval. That means that they could see no reason in planning law why it should be refused. The planning committee, composed of councillors, refused the application. This is normally very good grounds for appeal and is quite unusual, as the council stands to lose a lot of, err your, money if the appeal is upheld.

Yes, Ms. O'Ware (what a prophetic name) is a real dinosaur - a prominent anti-metric campaigner among her other lunacies.

Read in the Independent that if Spurs do win then they will be honouring their commitment to the community.

I live in the Forty Hill area and the area Spurs wish to develop is rarely used as most people go to the Forty Hill Country Park. To my mind the pros by far outweigh the cons in this argument.
