Greetings from a recently converted, U.S. based, BTFC fan! While visiting my cousin in Billericay this past November, my son and I were able to attend the Harrow Borough match. Despite being cold and wet, we had a great time and enjoyed the game and atmosphere. Weather like that usually tends to bring out the true fans. Since returning home I have been following the club online and have just discovered this forum. I'm happy to see the success continuing and the climb up the table. The local team I support here in the U.S. are the Richmond Kickers. I'd like to invite everyone to check out our website (Click here), as well as our forum (Click here). We finished our season as Division Champions as well as being selected as USL2 Organization of the Year! (Yes, I'm proud of my club too!)

I look forward to following BTFC through the rest of the season as well as the threads of the forum. Best of luck and GO BLUES!

Perhaps we should see if we can link our two clubs up in some way?

Well done on winning your division and welcome aboard...

Thanks for the reply Gazza. Sorry it's taken me a while to get back on the boards. I'll be sending you a PM soon.

Please forgive a stupid question, but is there a promotion step for top teams? (I tried reading the league's information but it was like trying to understand our tax forms!) We don't have a promotion/relegation system in the U.S., but I wish we did. I believe it will happen eventually, but not soon enough.

It's been great to watch the Blues move up the table. I know it is only a matter of time until they sit at the top! I only wish I could be there to see it happen. I guess I'll just have to be that faint voice you hear cheering, from 3000 miles away.

Kickerfan,

I really don't know how to link our respective clubs either but the interest is there. I've got your link saved on my favorites and I'll be keeping a close watch on your results.

Perhaps a visit by some supporters, both over there and over here could be arranged? We have a support base in Norway and they are friends. You can't have enough friends, especially in football.

Well, keep posting on the forum and give a cheer if we do get promoted.

Gaz.
