No one likes us WE DONT CARE...nor do I for that matter!

Recommended Posts

So no one likes Edgware anymore, because we have opened a big lead at the top of the table. I have looked at the SSML official handbook and I can't see where it says that a team MUST not open up a lead of any more then 3pts at any time during the season.

As for not liking me, and thinking a I am "smug"

"big headed" " A [****!!****]" etc etc...

I am NOT smug, I am just enjoying our best season for years, if that comes accross as smug then thats YOUR take on it.

The mentality in this country is too knock down winners and that appears to be at any level, even at this level.

As an outsider to all you inbreeds perhaps I can shed some light on it Gav. You should indeed enjoy being top as only a handful of clubs in the country can finish top of their league each year. It can be your attitude. If someone disagrees with you your posts become aggressive when there is no need. This, I think, is probably the reason you have put peoples backs up. No doubt I will get some now when you read this despite it being my opinion.

As a Neutral I too have no issue with Edgware! Come on Hertford / St Mags / Hoddesdon!!!!!

Krooner your point is a fair one and I agree. The reason I may go on the defensive is because there are a number of people on this forum who would like to see Edgawre fail, be it because of the club or because of me on this forum, if its the later its a bit daft if you ask me.

As for 'counting our chickens' I have said over and over that nothing is won yet, and that there is a good chance that we could end up with nothing. However, I am sure the players and the management at Edgware will guard against that happening and hopefully we can win some silverware come the end of the season.

I have no problem with Edgware doing well..good luck to them and I hope you enjoy your season. I like many others just wish you would curb your arrogance and condescending attitude towards any form of dissent to your opinions however mild ..there is as I have said before such a thing as winning graciously.

But Lato, my report of our game on Tuesday as well as Saturday was not being mug, I was stating the result, the fact that we are top and how many points clear.

I take your points on board, I am NOT coming on here saying we will beat all that we play etc etc.

Gavin - Changing the subject slightly but keeping it in line with the thread title, do you ever get to the New Den these days or have you become disillusioned with Millwall. I expect you're concentrating more on Edgware's hugely successful season the same way that all of our Arsenal mad players have seemingly forgotten they exist.

Only went to the opening game v Yeovil, disillusioned sums it up well Rhodes.

Its ironic that the season I become more involved at Edgware, the club are enjoying one of their best seasons for years smile

As things stand I dont see myself going back to watching league football at Millwall or anywhere else.

I am enjoying my role at Edgware and the season we are having, sure if we were near the bottom and losing every week it may not be such fun, but at this level you are a person not just a number as you are in the pro game.

Yeah, thats right, the Lions had two good wins over xmas, beating Brentford and local rivals Gillingham 4-1!

They were KO from the FA Cup at Stoke on Friday night though. Still fighting against relegation, but hopefully they will just stay up.

What made you go to the game at the Den PBT?

It was an opportunity to watch a League game on a Friday. Was originally going to Southend but that got moved back to the Saturday because of the Carling Cup so I went to Millwall instead. Tickets were half price to encourage people to attend instead of going Xmas shopping. £13 to sit in the main stand upper tier!

Yes good luck Gavin, we all like to hate you.

Remember it is not you that we hate.

Just wish it had happened when I was there 14 years ago.
