Next season?

It's been really quiet on here lately so here's something to think about - our predicted opponents for next season, assuming we are relegated:

Andover

Bracknell Town

Bridgwater Town

Brook House

Burnham

Chesham United

Didcot Town

Godalming Town

Hillingdon Borough

Lymington & New Milton

Marlow

Newport IOW

Northwood

Paulton Rovers

Slough Town

Swindon Supermarine

Thatcham Town

Uxbridge

Walton & Hersham

Wealdstone

Winchester City

Windsor & Eton

Would be some interesting away trips in there (Newport IOW or Bridgwater on a Tuesday night anyone?) and lots of local games, so we might even get to play our chums from Windsor again! wink

(This is all assuming we still have a club of course!)

Buy looking at the list. whatever league, doesnt it seem to consist of the sort of names we should never have been playing in our worst nightmares compared to the famous non league names we have played for most of our history. So sad

Blimey I havent even heard of at least half those teams, and I've been a non-league follower on and off for about 7 years now.

Btw I'm a Reading fan, but who follows the fortunes of Slough having lived or gone to school there as a kid.

No one says we have a right, but with a 120,000 population Slough is the biggest town in Europe without its own football ground.

Both Slough and Wealdstone have good non league history - even the old Hillingdon Borough (who might have got to last years FA Vase final but are lucky to get 50 people thru the gate). The others are hardly footballing hotbeds.
