A great result for the Fleet, and I had to spend the evening checking the score on the BBC interactive text, as I don't have Sky and having been at the football on Tuesday night I was being good!!!! I watched Sky Sports News which I have on Freeview for half an hour but did not get to see the goals. Up to third now, even although we have played more games than the teams around us, points on the board are always valuable. Another big game on Saturday to come. Up the Fleet.

We even got escorted from the bar to the away end ( well nearly all the way before the steward lost interest !)

BBC get it wrong shocker!!!! smile

Well noticed Frankie, this was also picked up by one or two others on Weymouth’s board I think. They also said he came from Luton. I think what happened was the BBC were writing the info for the game by the guy that was writing it was also a moron so he's lack of brain cells distracted him. Because he had Gravesend on his mind that’s what he put on the site and wasn't the first BBC employee to make a mistake on non league football and won't be the last. I'm surprised it wasn't Luton Town that beat Grays last night. I just hope we can beat QPR in the cup on Saturday, rather inevitably we are away.

I've worked long and hard to get people in there to come and watch some matches - amazing what TV coverage can do eh!! wink

Pity we didn't get any close-ups on Sky. I saw myself come back from getting a burger, then stop and remonstrate with the ref over a free-kick award, but even my own mum wouldn't have recognised me!

One little thing with Charlie that no-one has picked up so far was his acknowledgement of Luke as he was subbed - Luke was trotting off & Charlie called him back and gave him a high five - thats what you call encouraging your team mates and team spirit - hopefully Charlie's answer to the (apparently) daft rumours regarding his departure.

Anyway as you say, any publicity is good publicity!

I was impressed how seriously the researchers took my call though. I made the initial phone call and was called back and on the air, all in a couple of mimutes. Wow!

Andy

for your info Mr Stubbs may sound scouse but he is born and bred on the WIRRAL- unlike me Liverpool born - people from Wirral generally only claim to be scouse when Either prem football team are doing well- Tranmere fans have a strange dislike of Liverpool for some insane reason

Any way nice to see the fleet going well - wont be able to catch them until march- Unless the FA trophy sends them up here

Regards to Lord Charles- i heard a bit of him on the internet the other night- hes getting better

Sorry Phil k but I cant resist this!

So to get this straight.

I can rely on Ray Stubbs to look after my car but if I left it with you, I would find it minus its hub-caps when I returned?

I'm sorry and apologise to all Liverpudlians out there but it was too good to miss!
