Yes, a great night - the first 30 minutes were a litle concerning, but once we realised we needed to play it on the ground, we played really well.

I gather the "offside" goal wasnt and the Moore penalty appeal may also have been given on another day.

Grays went close once or twice in the first half hour, and contributed to a decent game of football, given the conditions, in the second half in particular although they didnt make Lance make a real save at any time.

Good to play well in front of the cameras and for Liam to score a cracker of a goal.

Excellent support tonight as well - lets hope we can continue the excellent form on Saturday against Halifax.

I echo that, Alan wink

I thought tonight was brilliant.

The performance was top draw on both a difficult pitch and 'orrible conditions - plus the added audience of sky.

All the team ran their hearts out and really looked as if they wanted it. We also played some terrific stuff - and again credit to LD for the correct tactics which tonight was possession football.

We also have LD to thank for the motivation, not just in todays game, but recently - we've now won four on the trot, how good does that sound (and against good and tricky opposition on paper).

Good sign or not we are now looked up to by many clubs, both in the league and in recognition. We are being noticed and - touch wood - I would hope more televised matches for us soon...!

Well done to everyone involved laugh!

PS. Anyone record all of todays match - including pre match, half time and post match coverage? I would buy it if you could copy one onto DVD for me? Cheers

Cheers

Quality tonight.

Fairly even first half, cracking second. Coleman was my MOTM. Just watching the Sky coverage back again and again it seems to be all about them but as the game progrossed my dad said they gave us more credit. The first half hour it looked like it could have been either team that won but like in the home game we weathered the storm and the quality shone through.

Don't know how much longer they can continue to play with just Boylan upfront, Bodkin on the right for them played quite well. Looks like he could do quite well in a decent team so maybe a signing for the future.

Remember our last game there? I can still hear that f-ing bell although for some reason there was no sign of it tonight. Perhaps it only comes out when they win.

Winding my Chelsea season ticket holding parents up tonight, what's is like to see a win?

Don't read Confguide tonight, they're only jealous.

They cant play with only Boylan up front for about 6 weeks now anyway, Harry according to their message board- apparently he's done a shoulder.

Grays fans are really slating their team on their board and we were apparently only "workmanlike". I honestly didnt think they were that bad and on another day may well have gone in front from one of their early chances. And in the second half, I thought they played the ball around well, but simply lacked the final ball/ a cutting edge (the sort of criticism we've levied at our own team inh the past, I guess).

Dont have Sky but just watched the 2 goals on Sky Sports news - the quality of Liam's goal was cleartly acknowledged in the commentary and it also made me realise that Charlie had reacted to stab home the rebound from Sodje's effort - at the ground it looked like it simply hit him on the shin.

Watched the game tonight on Sky. At times I thought I was back in the Northfleet end. All I could hear over the commentators was our fans.

Thought we all played well. Have to agree at first Sky did seem to concentrate on Grays in the same way they did for Weymouth, being the home team.

But our performance going in 1-Nil up against the run of play and then having the better of the 2nd half meant they couldn't ignore us.

Peter Hawkins was interviewed after the match with Liam Coleman and presented his MOTM bubble. Then they interviewed Liam Daish, then the got to Andy King.

Also they only interview Liam in the dugout during the game and never spoke to Andy King.

I feel we came out of the night quite well. Lets hope Sky come to Stonebridge Road later in the season.

Wasn't there tonight as I had to work but my kids were!

On my way home listening to 606 on Radio 5. Ray Stubbs kept banging on about ther being no Football tonight, so I rang in to complain. Next thing I know I'm frigging well talking to him live on national Radio!

At least I got an apology out of him though!

Just hope a few potential Fleet fans were listening to you Andy Y/ were watching the game tonight - any exposure such as this can only be good news.

And I guess our sponsors, Austrian Airlines must be especially pleased as we've now appeared on Live TV twice, giving a good account of ourselves in the first game despite losing, and then putting in a performance like tonights. I'm sure they are happy at getting value for money from their sponsorship already - with potential for even more exposure in the coming months.

Well done Andy! I was wondering if we were going to get a mention on there. I listen to that station quite a lot but they hardly ever mention the Conference not even updating the scores between 15:00 and 17:00 on a Saturday. They only read out the full times. Sometimes on there you can listen again to previous shows, I'll see what I can do and listen to it.

I wonder how many of the people of Gravesend & Northfleet watched tonight and were impressed with what they saw. We need people to start sitting up and taking notice. Posters, mentions in the paper and stands at Bluewater will go some way to making up the attendance but we actually need to go out to peoples houses and drag them down.

It was all a bit surreal Alan, it was obvious after a few seconds that Mr (Scousser) Stubbs was under the impression I was a Grays fan and had to be put right by myself, which meant that I didn't have time to tell them about how well L.D and A.K were doing.

Anyway as you say, any publicity is good publicity!

I was impressed how seriously the researchers took my call though. I made the initial phone call and was called back and on the air, all in a couple of mimutes. Wow!

Not only that but Charlie's contribution for the first saw him wide on the halfway line, with several other Fleet players ahead of him, and he played it through for Luke Moore.

I know other strikers who if they hadn't scored for eight games would be straight down the middle of the park looking only to score, not work for the team.
