Except that being under contract, they can't just up sticks and leave, and should they decide to go at the end of the season they are both under 24 and we would get a fee.

Having said that I think that both of them are mature enough to know that they have a lot to learn and cannot automatically expect a first team place. They will then want to improve so that they can get the starting place.

That has to be good for everybody!

How happy do you think Wayne Bridge was that Chelski signed Ashley Cole?

If you want to improve the team you don't bring in players to sit on the bench you bring in players who are better than the ones you already have.
I have nothing against either Luke or Omone and as things currently stand whichever of them doesn't start on Saturday would have every right to feel agrieved but if we got in two strikers good enough to keep Luke, Omone and Charlie out of the side for the rest of the season then we would be promoted this year.
