That confirms that he has left Weymouth but that doesn't mean that he has signed for us.

Mind you the news that we were linked with him came as a shock to the Directors so you can draw your own conclusion.

He is an Essex boy and a proven goalscorer who previously dropped a few divisions to play for Hornchurch when they were paying the big bucks.

Given Grays lack of strikers it wouldn't surprise me if he turned up over there.

 

With Liams proven success at unearthing quality youngsters I am expecting us to sign a 6ft 4in 19 year old goal machine who none of us have ever heard of and who will play for peanuts.

Would we be signing a striker to act as cover? We already have the 'luxury' of dropping Sodje to the bench after scoring! Luke Moore & Sodje proved on Sat they can work together to produce a goal without Charlie, so is there really a NEED for a striker?

As good as both Luke and Onome are we really missed Charlie on sat. We need someone to hold the ball up and some the rest of the squad can look for. Without Charlie they were both doing the same job which meant that we had no pattern and nobody for either of them to play off.

We will be signing someone, it's just a case of who and when.

No we shouldn't be signing a striker to act as cover, we should be signing a striker who will be the first name on the teamsheet and relegate Luke and Omone to the cover roles.

Only problem with that scenario - would Luke and Sodje be happy keeping bench warm? They play well enough, better than quite a few strikers in that league, and may well seek regular football elsewhere. Esp if only one of them was getting on the pitch as sub.

just got back from Bluewater and have seen a couple of the players up there in Zara, Bollers, Ricco, Stacy, Ross and Chris Anderson.
