A comfortbale 2-0 victory tonight, a goal in each half by Stuart Blackburne, and several other good chances, could have made the scoreline even bigger.

I think Rhodes ,single handedly, has promoted their image as a "Rhodes of the Rovers" outfit. Such is the stuff of dreams. Perhaps there's a book in him somewhere. Oh come on 3praise, lets clear this up, this title of this post as others I have posted stated the FACTS...Edgware WERE 11pts clear after our win on Tuesday night, now its been cut to 8pts after leverstock's win at Oxhey.

ANY FAN of ANY team would be enjyoing it if their team were doing well, we are enjoying our best season for years, why shouldnt I be bragging about it, there is a LOT to brag about

 

It's getting to the point where I may not post match reports on here at all, and just stick to my blog, that way I dont get the 'clever' remarks from you and others.

 

If Hertford were 8pts clear the Hertford lot on here would be crowing every chance they could.

 

I am not smug, I am just stating facts, Edgware are top of the table, have a big lead. True, the local press saying we have it won already, is a dangerous game to play, because we have not won anything, Tuesday was our 20th league game leaving us another 20 to play.

 

Sure we could end up with nothing and we have to guard against that, but I am sure our players and management will not guard against that happening and makse sure the hard work of the first part of the season is not wasted.

 

There is no reason to hate us, though given the mentality in this country people dont like winners and try to knock them down out of jealousy.

like ive said before Gavin Previously on this site you where considered intelligent and witty, and again i will state i used to enjoy the match reports given by yourself and certain comments you used to produce for the banter on this forum, but lately most posts you have started have been about how many points Edgware are ahead, or how easy a game was, thats when it can get a bit too much for people, especially the people representing teams lower down the league! that dont know how good it feels to be 11 points clear, its like a chelsea fan going onto a sheffield united forum and telling them how great it is to be a blue! i understand your team are winning and it must be a great feeling, but having it rammed down your throat everytime you log in, is a bit much!!

Firstly I think the recent criticism of Gavin is unfair and uncalled for, afterall Edgware are a country mile clear at the top of the table so he is entitled to crow and also wisely had a tenner on them at the start of the season at 6/1 when you all should have filled your boots. Okay Gavin can be outspoken and might wind one or two of you up but the likes of the Ruislip Manor lot and Potters Bar Town should get a life, the Forum is all about opinions, many of which are bound to ruffle a few feathers. As for being compared to the great 'poet' Stuart Hall I'm flattered but as I've said before I don't go out of my way to promote Kentish Town, I don't need to.
