They made hard work of it, though. First goal was controversial. I thought it was okay but I could see why London Colney would see it differently. Second goal looked like it would never come but it finally did so twenty minutes from time.

 

Gavin - word of advice to your team. You have a better chance of creating something from corner kicks if the taker lifts the ball into the air at least once in the game!

But you can't take a proper corner at the WLG because of the inadequate space at the corners!

Never knew you were at the game tonight PB, the ref did well allowing play to carry on, and the player down in the box was NOT interfeering with play. Our second was well taken, the end of a good move. We hit the bar several times, and had other chances. London Conlney had a couple of chances but overal rarely threatend

Dont start all this [****!!****] about us not having a ground Horace, I would expect more of you mate.

 

The club have a five year lease extension, which will be four years by the summer.

 

Prince Edward Playing Fields the stie of wstone has not had any futher work done to it, and is still not completed.

 

Barnet want to buy the ground from Harrow council but planning permission has still NOT been granted. If and when it is, expcet Barnet to move in lock stock and barrel, why else would they spend 8 million on a ground for their ladies and reserves when gthey have been looking for a ground of their own for years!?

 

These 'rumours' are just that 'rumours' obvioulsy dremt up by Hertford fans who see their club with a mountain to climb in the second part of the season.

Gavin, I don't know about Edgware's particular case but I can tell you that every season several clubs apply for promotion when they have no intention of going up. In some cases, it just keeps managers, players and supporters sweet until the end of the season. In other cases, clubs just hope that ground facilities and/or financial problems can be resolved in the intervening period.

And in our case its because WHEN we win the league we WILL accept promotion.

 

Dream on the lot of you, it shows how well we are doing when Hertford have to dream up some 'rumour's in the hope we wont accept promotion, so they can accept it IF they finnish runners up. If that WAS the case I hope WGC or London Colney or Harefield finnish as runners up.

PBT only put across a sensible and quite accurate explanation. There is really no need to go back into angry gav mode again and keep repeating the same thing.

 

I'm sure Hertford 'starting' rumours isn't going to affect Edgwares decision to take promotion or NOT but there WILL still be that choice to be made WHEN you win the league.

 

There might be bigger issues behind the scenes going on that you know nothing about so it's probably best to sit back, enjoy the good football they are playing at the moment and ride the wave while the surf is good!
