its not just because he lives here i speak to ian alot and i can assure you he has blue blood he says he always wanted to play for margate whether he will fit into the squad?? only time will tell but i think with hard work and match practice he potentially could be an assett on the bench too

Its at times like this that the merits of the Westview and KSC up come to the fore-if we were stil in those cups;we could be giving fringe players first team practice

Thats a good point Michael but the fact is we aren't in them & we are concentrating on the league & its paying dividends..Others still in cups or who went further than us are finding it tough at the moment.Its been a godsend not being in those competitions even though it would have been nice to have progressed further.

This year is all about promotion first & foremost & I for one,though disappointed slightly am not unhappy altogether about having just the promotion race to concentrate on.

Those sitting on the bench are just as important to us as the eleven out there on the pitch. Its a TEAM game, a Squad effort & they who are on that bench are part of this squad.

These guys will get a chance I'm sure if they are patient,despite us not being in those cup competitions.Its just not going to be as regular as they would like thats all.An example of this is Dean Standen.I may not rate the guy as much as some do but he HAS stuck with it & has not run off anywhere.This is where I heap much praise on the player.He knows his chance will come & even if he & the others do just a small bit to help win games they are doing their bit & doing the club & us proud at the same time.
