BBC nonsense

The BBC report is summed up even better by the fact that they call Lance "Glenn" !!

To say Rushden dominated is clearly wrong but as Dave says, they had 2 clear chances, one of which could not have been a neater backpass if the guy had tried, together with the good low save by Lance in the second half. By comparison, we had a couple of decent efforts by Sodje (one deflected wide & one turned over the bar by the keeper(although I'm not convinced the latter was meant as a shot anyway)) and the awful slice by Rob Quinn (for whom goalscoring is clearly never going to be a strong point to say the least!).

Its probably fair to say that , ironically, both halves were "won" by the side playing against the wind.

We definitely looked a better side once De Bolla and Keeling came on though and the goal was a real case of keeping the ball on the ground and spreading the play - probably the classiest move (and certainly finish) of the day.

A shame if Keeling is out injured again now - both today & tuesday showed how the width he provides is so very useful. I only hope that , if we're struggling in future games that Purcell (or Anderson) is given a chance to play the role, probably from the subs bench.
