if it makes anyone feel any better, the Horsham YMCA vs Kingstonian game which was going on directly behind the far end of Horsham's ground was abandoned 6 minutes after ours was

Shame as we had four players on loan from Bromley and Aldershot, plus a good turn out of away support, getting behind the team from the beginning...

bet everyone is looking forward to a midweek trip to Horsham now.

Also forgot to add...spare a thought for Yeovil Steve who raced to get to the game from Yeovil after working on the bins - getting to the ground just as the game was called off - then getting his car stuck in the mud!

It was indeed a shame as we had a 16-man squad for the first time in ages, with the help of a few more loanees. If the game could have continued, the conditions would have been a bit of a leveller for both sides and who knows what could have happened.

 

The pitch was just about playable at kick-off but then it bucketed down, resulting in this - the ball could barely move on the surface so there was really no alternative! At least the officials gave it a chance though.
