Well obviously it wasn't the real Dixie Dean as I think he's dead but it was certainly a good immitation as he took his two goals very well. I wasn't taking anything away from Cockfosters as they are a good side and their Coach makes Stuart Pearce seem mouse like on the touchline.

That cover was used twice at the absolute most - no one had considered the manpower required to put the cover in place and remove it again afterwards. £10k nicely wasted by Bravo. Also, the cover was only there for three or four months, certainly not a whole season.

An interesting version of events from the Cockfosters Website although I think the individual who penned it was at a different game, perhaps he went to nearby Edgware v Haringey Borough by mistake:

Just read the report. Very entertaining - seems as though Kentish Town were not the only ones to have their pockets picked. What's all this nonsense about a top flight club like KTFC unable to provide their guests with hot water. A bit shabby eh!

Very poor indeed cold showers, stuff nicked, i though the ground KTFC play at was a hallowed turf and ground of the non league? Surely with such a successful club you could have got someone to look after the dressing rooms? Surely you should have beaten Cockfosters FC? (Sorry the pitch was wet and it was windy therefore you never win) For KTFC's sake lets hope the weather improves

Excellent report by Cockfosters.

Having read both reports, it would seem that Cockfosters had the coaching acumen to be able to change tactics and adapt to the changing conditions. However, I notice the Kentish Town report dismisses this as "kick and rush" tactics. I notice also that the condition of the pitch was fine when the Kentish Town players had the wind at their backs in the first half but, when due to play into the wind in the second half, conditions were suddenly considered by Kentish Town to be "farcical". Funny that!

At the end of the day, a game like that boils down to being able to adjust to the prevailing conditions and, in that respect, the Cockfosters coaching staff clearly appear to have out thought and outwitted their Kentish Town counterparts. Clement Who?

I expected as much. The reason I didn't touch on the alleged theft in the press report is it is now a police matter so I thought I had better not comment. The cold shower situation is an ongoing issue which Hendon are addressing, it's clearly not ideal but it was the same for both Club's, the likes of Lee Scott and Thomas Looney didn't bat an eyelid, it's a man's game.

Paula - My sentiments entirely but try telling Cockfosters, it just means that certain bits are a bit shrivelled up for a while that's all!

Potters Bar Town - I wasn't referring to the match report as I think you know perfectly well however if you want to discuss that topic there are sarcastic and arrogant undertones in the Cockfosters report from Saturday which I'm not impressed by. They need to take a leaf out of our book and ensure their reports, which are afterall in the public domain for all to see, are a balanced and unbiased account of the proceedings that actually took place.

Hang on a sec, you come on here accusing clubs of deliberately cutting up their pitches when they're due to play you and other such rubbish, but a club who have just completed a double over you and have earned their bragging rights are accused of arrogant undertones? Surely saying that a club would deliberately damage its own pitch just to earn three points against an upstart club who have made a freakish start to the season is as arrogant an undertone as you can get?

It would appear that you don't, Rhodes. Which makes your invitation to have a discussion rather a strange one. Or is it a case of, once again, you've invited comment and suddenly found you're out of your depth so you've had to adopt the ostrich technique as the best form of defence from statements that you clearly have no logical counter-argument to.

Potters Bar Town - I'm not with you I'm afraid not for the first time, all I was getting at was that I strongly felt there were sarcastic and arrogant undertones in the Cockfosters report from Saturday which I was not impressed by and to name the three players who allegedly had items stolen from the dressing room when the allegations are still being substantiated and investigated was most unprofessional of the Chalk Lane Club.
