left the ground about 30 mins ago, pitch is playable, bit soft in places, BUT waiting for ref to give the go ahead.

BOWERS & PITSEA 3-3 BARKING

 

A hugely entertaining game, given the conditions. Bowers took a 2-0 HT lead through Jamie Clarke and Dean Allen.

 

At 2-0 Bowers should have had a penalty when Scott Pethers was clearly tripped in the area, only for the ref to wave play on, believing Scott had slipped in the mud. Barking then went straight down the other end to score.

 

Smallsy then made a great double save to protect Bowers lead, but was left badly exposed by his defence for Barking to draw level.

 

With about 7 mins left on the clock, Jamie Clarke finished clinically with only Tony Tucker to beat. At this point I had to leave (to pick up the missus from the shops) only to be informed by Junior Pirate that Barking had equallised to make it 3-3.

 

Roll on the second leg!!!!!

yes mate all cleaned up now. the showers at the club are useless so had to get straight home and shower again. you wouldnt believe at half time the roof in the changing room collapsed!!!!!!!!
