Disciplinary Record This Season

Recommended Posts

Right, as I said Andy & Roly went to see the FA yesterday, and we were told that if we did not improve our disclipinary record for the rest of season, we could face a fine of £12,500. (BTW Margate are under a £10,000 conditional fine from last year)

The FA "award" points of 4 points for a yellow, 10 for two yellows in game and 12 for a red.

We are averaging just over 11 points per game and the FA want that down to about 9.

Let's hope ceratin players (and they know who they are) can manage to keep their mouths shut so that we can at least reduce the bookings for dissent.

..... otherwise its another pledge ?

I hope not. Stumping up for a player is one thing but as Dave has indicated, if you take away the unnecessary yellows we would be under the nine point average.

This is a sinister plot against the "little guys"....

It happens all over the place....the " people in power" want to be seen to be authoritive and get their quota of miscreants....

What's easier than having a go at the softer targets ?...knowing forewell that they won' t, or haven't got the "clout" to do anything about it !!

At the risk of boring everyone......a couple of examples:-

I played for a local Gravesend league side...we weren't that good..but a finer group of associates you could not wish for ( with a couple of exceptions over 25 years !). Before all day opening, we all used to go home after the game as there wasn't anywhere to go....unless you played at Bowaters/AEI/Blue Circle etc. We didn't ! we had to pay an extortionate amount to the Council to hire a pitch at Nortfleet Rec. First game of the season...my birthday...boiling hot..running ( ? ) around for 90 mins...worked up a thirst...bought a couple of trays of beers for the lads to drink in the changing room before we all had to depart. Following week...Jobsworth of the League had a go at us...shut door of changing room...told one person to get out...and really laid into us about drinking ( oh yeah...2 cans of crappy heineken gets us all rebelling !). We were threatened with being reported to the KCFA/Council etc. Please bear in mind that most of us at that time were late 20's....many were parents.....didn't cut no ice with Jobsworth....I even apoligised to him( wish I hadn't now !).....so, next week at the Rec. spotted another team drinking not only in the dressing room but their mates on the touchline...so I said to Jobsworth of the league...you should treat us all the same...not one rule for one etc.....they were a higher division side than us...did anything get done ? did it XXXX !!...so the moral or the story is...the "little guy" always gets the crap/unfair deal ! it is rife in society as a whole !!

And I defy anyone who says that Man U don't get the benefit of a few dodgy decisions !! Chasing the ref into the touchline ?

A not so "important" team would have been banned !!

Oh well.......taken up a few minutes.......hope you get my drift !! See you all tomorrow......

Cheers,

Another 2 silly bookings today - White for stopping a free kick being taken quickly, and Lee for flicking the ball away (although I thought his reaction was instinctive, and that Stevenage were trying to start the free kick well forward from the foul anyway). We really have to cut these out.

Mind you, even 2 bookings only gives 8 points on the FA scale, so reduces our average.
