The way we play?

Yesterday's match was so depressing for me an ardent Slough supporter.I believe in attacking, free flowing football,I'm what you would call a football purist,I suppose, but if ever I saw a team who needs to play route one/direct football- it is Slough at this present time.

I would go and get two players from our past. Both of whom,I think, would play for nothing.Although probably not very popular with supporters.I would bring in Adrian Brown and Andrew Deaner!

We need to be far more combative against teams. If we're going down, let's go down with some fighting spirit!I know Andrew Deaner has the skill/ball control of a donkey but he does make a nuisance of his self to opposing defenders. He has a good heading ability, something we desperately need in the box.We have too many midgets in team ie Miller,Davies,Moleski,Braich! and Roberts with a slight frame.

How many shots did we have yesterday?I would get players to have a go as much as possible.

As great a player as Mark West was. It's time he hung up his boots. He would have been better pushing Davies up and bringing on one of the Polish lads, the Jacnowski brothers[not sure of spelling!].

Adrian Brown[Hampton reserve player currently]would be useful for cover for Daly or to play as one of three centre-backs.With these players and who is currently free from injury,my team would be,as follows

Farrow[if we can keep]Goalkeeper

Bartley-right wing back,Brown-Daly-Mills as centre backs,Left wing back Davies.

Wilkinson-holding midfield.

Moleski and Nusbuga-central midfield

Miller/Hale and Deaner-centre forwards.

At least,we could have some subs and be able to use them effectively when needed.I am not saying that we won't be relegated but we would be a sight harder to beat than we are at the moment. What do you others fans think?

nonleaguer: considering you have made 4 postys on the forums in your 'life' and they are all WEST HAS LEFT we get the idea now piss off back to the little hole from which your crawled out of there's a good boy.

BAck on topic Davies should be playing up front, awesome striker for his sunday league team scored quite a few in matches i was playing and always looks better there (as im sure his mum would agree)

I agree. When and if Leon Woodruffe comes back.I would have him as left wing back and put Terry Davies up front with Andrew Deaner forsaking Matt Miller, who would be on the bench.

Just had a thought, what about Keith Scott,ex Wycombe and Windsor.Has he retired? He would be ideal target man.Not sure he would play for nothing, though or whether he's fit enough these days.If he was,his presence, aerial threat and experience would have defenders having to mark him which leave gaps to exploit.
