Ramsgate Chav - Will Graham

Was this idiot the no 6 yesterday?

This is what he has put on his own club forum today...

Difference GEEBEE we know where we come from and we fight for the badge, all you margate lot are a bunch of over payed big time londoners and when things get tough and you come to Southwood you dont fancy it how many local players started yesterday for you. Not bad for a bunch of young long ball thugs for Ramsgate is it, when you've got your Jacksons, Hocktons etc dont respect the derby games cause they are all from London.

Even he admits they are THUGS!!!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable.

That would be Margate (not margate), paid (not payed), Londoners (not londoners), don't (not dont), and if you really must abbreviate because (it's 'cause), and London (not london). Must I tell you everything twice you moron.

Couldn't find the original quote on Ramsgate Forum to reply to, hopefully he will look to see any replies on here!

can anyone tell me the names of football clubs that survive alone on home grown talant and don`t bring players in from other areas or countrys in any league weither it be pro or amature , NO , there you go , Margate have brought players in out of Thanet this season and its working, as is our youth systerm and one day half the squad could be local , but there will always be the non local in a side .

Ramsgate bought in non local players and they never got a chance to prove themselves , 1 maybe 2 games and your out they don`t fit in so f..k off basically . Football is about going onto better things bigger named players a better ground increasing attendances and most importantly making money , Ramsgate don`t have any of these qualitys , they are still in the Dark Ages festuring in there poxy little ground known as Deadwood .

Sorry to disapoint you HDF but there is a team that you can only play for if you were born in a certain area and that team is

ATHLETIC BILBAO

You can only play for them if you were born in the Basque Country regardless of how good you are.

True but you have to be impresed by what Athletic Bilbao have acheived in the past when you consider that there is also Real Sociedad, Osasuna and Alavés in the same region who all prefer the home grown talent, diffrence is that Sociedad, Osasuna & Alavés alow non basque players so they do not rely so heavily on the youth system.

There is a very noble & romantic quality to the way Bilbao operate and i have no doubt they will survive they do have a good young crop of players Llorente, Garmendia, Zubiaurre, Iraola, and im sure in a season or two they will be back in europe via the cup or a decent la liga placing provided they can keep hold of the players and add some of the better basque players.

Will Graham does sadly lack a wide vocabulary. He does wear his heart on his sleeve and will help his side win whatever it takes!

However he makes a valid point how many local players were on the pitch? Do Margate want to produce or groom local talent? He seems to think not. Is there any evidence he is wrong? Please don't answer with the usual wise words young players do not win games. They may not in the short term but are the club in for the long term or will they always go to London for players.

This is a good debating point and one that Will Graham could not put into the right words.

Agree with Gringo.

Just had a look at the Ramsgate forum and there are some unbelievably immature postings which look to be from their players.

I trust our players are contracted to keep a dignified silence, and long may that remain the case.

In fairness, i thought Jim Ward put a very fair report on their official site, which did show necessary repect

Surely the fact that Margate have set up a Reserve side this season and that the Under 18s have a higher profile this year shows that the club are trying to produce local talent, but I'm afraid it may take time and will not happen at once. (Also both sides are being well supported by MFC fans). The fact that we have a couple of players who have come through, such as Dolton, shows that the youth/reserve system is working.

And while I mention Dolton, was it not a bit sad for one of the loudest chants coming from the Ramsgate end being the one that was insulting him, and not one that was actually supporting their team?

Ah, my fine fellows and fellowettes, I think a comment should be made of the fine crop of youngsters who are coming up through the ranks as we speak!

Not all of them are going to reach the standard to play in the Conference and beyond (just thinking ahead folks!) and there will alwys be a need to secure the services of the right players.

I have to say the Rams should be pleased that they are bringing in home grown talent -0 if they are good enough then the Rams certainly get a good deal out of it! If it keeps the costs down then even better.

However, they limit the pool of talent that might get them higher then their present standing. We

have higher aspirations!

Abdullah (where's me ladder!)
