Team For Chelmsford 30th December

GazzaBTFC

Recommended Posts

Okay, given that we have turned in some good performances over this month, this is my suggested team for this Saturday's game

McMahon

Macca, Heffer, Blewitt, Kerrers,

Whelpdale, Hunter, Game, Dormer,

Burbridge, Flack.

Subs - Hodges, Hill, Swaine, Holland, Worster.

This is gonna be a tough one to call but if we perform up to the level we did against Bromley, we should be in with a chance for all three points.

I would agree. I think Lee Hodges is our most creative player but with the pitches being as heavy as they are at this time of year, I think he is better used coming on as a sub and working his magic when the opposition are tired. We need to get into them from the start and get in hard (but fair) and in the second half, depending on the score, get Hodges on to dazzle 'em.

I would be really surprised if (injuries/suspensions etc permitting), we didn't put out the same starting xi as Boxing day.

It's plainly going to be a tough game, but one we can win. We have shown we can match the other leading lights in the division and need to continue to show this belief on Saturday.

It's an exciting local derby and hopefully we'll get the bumper crowd the game deserves.
