Half way through the season

My first post!

It's too close to call at the moment with anyone in the top half of the league in with a shout. It should make for an interesting run in.

If we can get some consistency at home there's every chance we can win this league. There are 12 home games left and only 9 away. Of the top ten in the league we only have Chelmsford and Hampton & Richmond to visit, but still have to play 6 of them at home. It's in our hands really. 3 points at home against Folkestone and a decent performance would set down a marker for the 2nd half of the season.

The squad's probably good enough, but I'd feel happier with a bit more strength on the bench to cover injuries and suspensions to key players, and some pace going forward (budget permitting). Trotty's brought in some good players recently (Jay, Pat) so I'm sure he knows what we need. At the start of the season I'd have settled for where we are now though so I'm not complaining. Looking forward to 2007!
