a cold day with a stiff sea breeze as 700 fans made their way into park lane....not a classic game but always controlled by the league leaders...poor ref to be honest who missed so much..I thought our penalty was soft but we should also have had two more for blatant handballs..one punched off the line which would have undoubtedly led to a sending off....

 

all around a solid and hard worked three points for the urchins and its onwards to the visit of craig and his aveley team on saturday...

 

well done everyone on a pleasant boxing day afternoon at the seaside...)

Christmas Comes Once A Year.

Thank you for the three points. This was not one of our better performances.

Canvey appeared to be affected by the early start, where we nipped in with some early pressure and took advantage with a good goal.

Canvey replied with some good football down the flanks and with some speed and movement in the midfield. Sloppy equaliser, but credit due to the lad, it was a good goal for Canvey.

Canvey continued to push forward and we countered with a number of chances and if it had been a different official, I think we would have had some different decisions. Soft penalty but as I said I thought we had other better shouts.

urchins MOM Dale Brightly and I was also impressed with Ryan Lee, who chased everything and showed some fine passes, although he does have some responsibility for the Canvey goal.

All in all, I am glad that fixture is over, cold day, cold ground and a smiling urchins with three points in the BAG. HO HO HO.
